So contacted the local dealer looking to buy.

Right now they have 2.9% and $3000 accessory credit, sounds good.

So had them send me a quote. Really had to look through it, they are VERY good at playing with the numbers. So it started of with MSRP, then added my selected accessories (at a 27% markup,) then they showed a "credit" of around $5000 (included accessories), then their fees, taxes etc and finally they applied the $3000 credit for accessories.

Sure adds up quickly but what it really works out to is a 2% discount on MSRP!

Ironically even their discounted price was higher than the price listed on their website!

So questions is; On a 2024, on the lot for almost a year now how much of a discount should I aim for? Looking at older threads here there was a $5000USD discount kicking around and that's probably 6-7% range, definitely not 2%

Given some of the less than spectacular service experienced by some Canadian buyers maybe you should take a day trip to Michigan and see if you can haggle a better deal there? Or are there tariffs if you export a car from the US???

I think $5k might be expected - but that’s off MSRP, NOT including tax. I would work the deal around the Grenadier and leave accessories out of it (they just mark those up anyhow, and aftermarket accessories are better)
