Brake Control System

Anyone ever experienced the need for a brake control system for when you have your foot (especially with boots on) on the brake but it is also partially resting on the accelerator and the accelerator gets the preference, so the vehicle lurches forward when you want to brake it? Does anyone think it is possible to have one installed? It’s almost as if the placement of the two pedals is off by some fraction.
 
I've never heard of a "brake control system"; but the pedals are somewhat close by intention. It puts your feet in a very natural and comfortable position for left foot braking

I find the pedals a little close for my liking as well, but for me it's a question of being able to sneak my right foot between the two so I can stretch my leg. Something I can do on my jeep, when on cruise control and it's safe to do so :) I did at first hit the accelerator with the break, but I'm now used to the geometry and it's no longer an issue.

Thanks for telling me that. In effect, we may be talking about the same thing. I never experienced this problem in all my years of driving, 32 in my manual-shift Defender 90. You are right to say that once you get used to the geometry, the problem goes away, or at least one hopes so. Part if the problem is also that the travel on the brake pedal is long, meaning that that a not-fully-pressed brake pedal winds up even with the accelerator pedal. Toyota, I understand, changed their brake controls to give the brake priority over the accelerator if the two are "pressed" simultaneously, albeit that in Toytate's case, it was because the accelarator was stuck, not pressed. I guess some ingenious technician could jerry-rig a Grenadier to do the same, but at what cost? And for all I know, maybe Ineos had good reason to do it the way it is. In the meantime, I will avoid wearing big boots until my feet learn the geometry.
