Wondering what size drawer system will fit in the rear of the IG

Anyone able to give the exact dimensions of the rear boot space on the TM?

Width should be wide enough from most models - distance from back of sloped seats at 320mm height most important

Appreciate if anyone able to assist. Thanks in advance

Hmmmm, gonna have to be a made-for-IG model so. Thanks

Wonder what known manufacturers are working on it?

900 mm (inside rear door to half way up rear seat. Elsewhere on here, someone suggested you could move the rear seat forward relocating fittings. (am still to check this out, will do this weekend).
I want an 80 ltr Evacool fridge freezer (handles removed) to fit, it will just.

Tbh, moving the seats forward will be grand for kids using them but not for adults imo. Perhaps someone will figure out sloped drawers and a bit higher so you get same volume as say, the LR3 drawers🤷‍♂️ the boot/trunk space is wide enough and high enough to still allow for plenty gear to be loaded up.

Not sure at your end of the world. Of course most manufacturers just use a standard drawer system and only need to adjust mounting points (most are adaptable anyway) and design the side wings for separate models.

Yeah thinking that , BLS, but the boot does look shallow enough on the IG. I’ve seen it in the flesh but didn’t have a tape in hand 😅

Maybe just have to be patient and let the market catch up

Width wise is fine - it’s about 1050mm across (inside the wells) which is the same more or less as my landcruiser. I currently have a 1050mm long full drawer and a 900mm half height drawer with a fridgeslide built into the top. So just working out if I keep it and buy a shorter full draw or just buy both new.

Dometic CRX110 will fit like a glove on one side

Nice set up👍

Handy! Has the pocket guide got a depth dimension?

Remove the rear seat in the station wagon and the dimensions are almost the same as the N1 utility
If you watch the Africa Overland trio about the 41min mark they pull out a tape measure and take several readings which may be of assistance

A lot of the British draw manufacturers are just waiting to see a final production vehicle and they will measure up and have something done in hours.

Spoke to Animal Transit Boxes and the owner told me I could have what I wanted within days as soon as he had final measurements. As he is literally 20 mins drive up the road, it won’t be a problem.

That sounds ideal, Shaky. I come from having a D3 and the boot in that is cavernous! It’s hard to get stuff out from way in there sometimes 😅 Especially with the drop down tail gate. Not a prob in the IG which is one the things that attracted me to it.

Only time will tell if size does really matter .. 😬

This is actually one of the down side for me. Not the doors but the size of the rear.

I currently have a truck and draws and shotguns just drop straight in and that in their slip. The IG won’t lend itself to that at all. And breaking a gun down is a pain in the rear and still doesn’t get the slip out of view. So you still end up advertising what is in the rear.

Likewise. Some of the rifles may be ok sans mods but the shotguns will have to stand diagonally, especially the semi-autos. Will have panels so some restricted view but otherwise a natty few blankets will help.

…or perhaps go with something that’ll spice up the shoot? Short form factor… (hockey mask optional obvs)
