Hmm. Car running fine. Parked and left for a few hours. Came back, started car….. blackout screen, no illumination of interior panel, various lights on the tell tale.

Turned off the car. Opened then closed door. Locked while sitting inside. Unlocked. Open then closed door. Restarted.

Same behavior but second time around check engine came on. Engine ran fine. Drive about 1 mile to my destination.

Maybe it will work properly in the morning? Donno.

Has anyone seen this behavior? Truly out of the blue. June 2023 build / February 2024 delivery.

The only thing I’ve done as of late is that I added the Grenadier USA “button pusher” which permanently depresses the auto start/stop button… but I’ve probably done at least 20 start stop cycles since installing. When I parked this evening I went ahead and deactivated it / moved it off the button.

I wonder what your battery charge is with the truck off. Is this your daily driver? If not, how long did it sit since your last drive?

Lots of electrical issues when the battery state of charge is low.

I had the same issue myself about a month ago. I drove 10 mins to a cafe, parked for 5 minutes and restarted the car. The entire info screen was black no speed or info displayed. However, wireless apple car play connected and automatically started playing my podcast where I had left off. The touch screen was working, as I was tapping on it, I managed to make a couple of phone calls, again audio worked and they could hear me. I just couldn't see what I was doing or in fact who I was calling.

  1. I turned off and restarted, that didn't work.
  2. I turned off, got out of the car and locked it, then got back in and restarted, that didn't work either.
  3. I then drove to work estimating my speed....
  4. I parked it for 2 hours and then got back in and it was all fine when I restarted.

No issues since. But a little unnerving, given the instruments are all linked on the one screen.
