Big Country drawers from South Africa (APB)

Another thing to think about is that APB have dealt with Big Country for a very long time they have drawers fitted in their vehicles(discovery 4) and its been in numerous ones before that so they know the products very well and has proven history. They not new kids on block experimenting.

Slightly higher than seats about 30mm but you wouldnt really want any shallower

Seats are around 30mm lower, so I cut a piece of Kingspan insulation and lay it on the seat backs to bring it level with drawer deck.
If you keep the seats folded down and carry any weight on the backs, I’d recommend laying a towel or similar on the seat frame hinge points before folding the seat backs down. Otherwise you end up with pressure marks on the shoulder area of the seat backs. Particularly if they’re leather.

Had mine fitted. All good 👍

This looks great - what like to do (I have a 2 seater) is to also have a flat extension sleeping platform on one half in the back that will afford a place to lie down with the passenger seat forward and hinged so that I still have access to the battery box.

Great job.
Nice to see APB getting the attention they deserve.
I posted the original thread about Big Country drawers a couple of weeks ago (I think).
I recall they were contacting Big Country about fitting handles as I had concerns about opening a fully laden drawer by the plastic latches.
Hopefully this will be addressed in future production models.
For those who’ve not looked at the original post, a set of 30mm deep kitchen cupboard handles are just the job.
What’s more, they don’t interfere with the folding tailgate table either. 35mm would just about be ok, but any deeper and you’re likely to hit the underside of the table.

Table collected and fitted today, more useful than thought.Regarding windscreen told Autoglass regarding rubber seal to which they said it was down to technical to sort.Waited 6 weeks for windscreen he turned up to fit but couldn't because he had no rubber seal.Got to go into their local depot to be fitted so they can photo procedure and use in future. So much for technical dept.

Sorry to hear of your woes regarding windscreen and seal fitting.
The Nationwide fitter that turned up to do mine had never done a Grenadier, let alone the seal. “No different than anything I’ve fitted before” he said.
40mins later all was done.

Ineos haven’t created anything new here. It’s simply a windscreen (glued on) and a replacement top seal.

Hope you get it sorted as soon as.

I’m using my folding table a lot more than I thought I would too. Part cooking station, or reloading bench for when on the range.

I am a bit confused by these,.
Are they drawers for a big country?
Are they BIG drawers unsuitable for the city?
Or are they drawers made from timber cut from a big ???? tree? (Is there even such a tree?)
Or just drawers that self identify as BIG?

Mine fitted today,Absolutely fantastic. Its still good to know that people like APB exist nowadays.Fantastic service, really nice place, shop full of goodies.
I've visited Big Country before I ordered mine and they've told me just to remove the cargo rails and use their attachment points for the drawers (no need to cut out the floor). Is there a reason that you / APB did cut out the floor?

No floor not cut used existing points.I didnt have cargo rails Just tie down rings these just removed and holes used.

Collected the drawers and awning from bigcountry4x4 at the airport cargo center on Monday and installed them yesterday. I have to say that I'm very pleased by how accurate they fit into the car and the overall built quality. Thanks to this thread, I hadn't any questions on how to proceed. 🙏

Anyone with these drawers note any rattles? Looking at all my options and the pricing on these is attractive against the competition. They seem well liked in other models I've researched looking for reviews.
