I am sure that is wrong, was the same with the Black sheep website. It was calculating more than $100 postage for the CTeK plate, but when checked with Thomas it came back to much less.
Seems that even the UK guys were saying it's expensive, maybe they haven't calculated their shipping correctly

Just asked them to confirm the same for me. Will order a couple on confirmation
I have heard back from Grenadier Parts regarding the shipping cost of £27 to the UK saying "the costs are per delivery and not per item."

Their shipping cost to the US is 59.90 €EUR and to Australia 99.90 €EUR.

They are having a lend then. It doesn’t cost €99 to send some bags to Australia

I just put them in the shopping cart, went to checkout, saw the shipping cost, and then emptied the cart!

Buying in the EU was so easy prior to Brexit - now it's a bloody nightmare.
And vice versa it’s the same nightmare!

You are always welcome to come back, I really mean it, and hope it, but I would impose some conditions ;)
  • you accept the euro as a currency
  • you switch to the metric system
  • you drive on the right side of the road instead of the wrong side
The last condition will even have a complementary benefit: the RHD footrest issue is solved, as you will get new Grenadiers with LHD :ROFLMAO:
You can keep your language though, although the French and Germans have perhaps another opinion about it

(I apologize for the abbreviations)

No need to switch the language at all! And it´s ok to stay on the wrong side of the road as well. A joined currency and the metric system would be more than enough.

We have the metric system already. I would like to keep miles though.

I would argue the left is the correct side of the road.

Is the Euro a good move? I think we are better without it. However, without Germany most of Europe would have been bankrupt years ago.

whether the Euro has been a smart move or not would certainly be an endless discussion. Anyhow for the easy business it is a gift!

The Euro certainly makes touring Europe easier. Some of my early tours involved complex calculations (or guesses) as to how much national currency was required for 2 days in one country, and 3 days in another; perhaps 7or 8 currencies in total.

Underseat storage bags from Germany now available here.

underseat bag for the Grenadier,

individually handcrafted, a perfect fit for the Grenadier. (fits for driver and passenger side)

high-quality, durable Cordura, water-repellent and non-stick coated, applied to a foam core on both sides... The bags are designed for durability, the materials used and the quality of workmanship reflect the character of the car.

Handcrafted in Germany.

This handy accessory gives you an extra, discreet storage option that's ideal for all those little essentials you want to keep close at hand.

Our underseat storage bag measures 48cm x 21cm x 11cm and is perfectly engineered to fit under the Grenadier's driver and passenger seats from the door side. EUIPO protected . Thanks to the robust leather handle, which we offer both in elegant black and in reddish brown to match the saddle leather, it can be pushed in and out without any problems. The selection of the leather color of the handles also offers you a touch of individuality and adapts harmoniously to the interior of your vehicle.

Cordura is a high-performance fabric originally developed for military purposes and is characterized by its extremely high strength and durability. Cordura's high tenacity fibers are highly resistant to wear, tear and even chafing, making this case ideal for everyday use in your Ineos Grenadier. In addition, Cordura is not only stain-resistant, but also washable, making cleaning and maintaining your bag a breeze.

Another special feature of the bag is the lid made of durable, permanently elastic film, which allows you to see the inside without having to open it. At the same time, a cover strip attached to the front area ensures that you cannot look directly into the bag when it is under the seat. In this way, your privacy is protected while maintaining convenience and accessibility.

In addition, each of our bags has an embossing on the leather handle - as a sign of our quality and attention to detail.

I did order the bags almost at once after seeing this post, and the shipping was 15 euro: not cheap, but adequate.

Good points:
  • Fast delivery
  • The seller responds to questions
  • I ordered 2 with black handles, and then changed my mind and asked if I could have one black, one brown: they arrived like that
  • They fit
  • Premium quality it says, well, that's what I hope!

Bad points (I already informed the vendor of the packaging problem)
  • The payment through the website went through, but for an unknown reason, the money was sent back; the vendor informed me, and I made a payment directly to his bank account.
  • The packaging is very poor, the Chinese Quality is much better (I have quite some experience with the Chinese ;) )!
  • The tape of the cardboard could easily be ripped off
  • The invoice was inside the cardboard box without any protection
  • Same for the bags, not wrapped in plastic or something like that
  • And luckily it didn't rain this afternoon, because dpd ("Your delivery expert") dropped the box at my door (nobody at home), therefore if it had been raining everything would have been wet

Why stop spending on gear - it's why we were placed on earth as men.

Wow.
I regularly get deliveries at home.
I generally cut them open.
Squash the box down and throw it in the recycle bin
Throw the delivery docket/invoice in the bin
Put the contents away or to intended use
I can't recall ever contacting the sender and critiquing their packing skills and methods.

The tape didn't rip off.
The invoice didn't get lost or damaged.
It didn't rain
The world is trying to reduce plastic packaging use.

The items are designed to be
filled/overfilled with stuff
Dragged in and out under the seats
Probably dropped onto damp, dirty, muddy ground

Not only is your glass half empty but I fear it has a leak.

I understand your point.
In Belgium it rains a lot.
I don't need to have my package at my door.
They can leave it in a recollection point.
Very OK for me.
But the packaging was really NOT ok.
