Hello Fellow Enthusiasts,

I'm taking ownership of a new Fieldmaster this week. The dealership is 300 miles away. I'm having my son and his buddy take delivery and drive it home. What's your recommended break-in routine for the first 300 miles of the Grenadier?
I haven't seen Ineos' recommendations, but I have seen BMW's for the B58. I'd love to know what other IG owners have done.
Thanks!

My 2¢

No cruise
Vary RPM/Speed (don’t just sit at 70mph)
Gradual acceleration (less than 4k revs)
Drop tire pressures! Down to 36.

All of this ^^^^^^^

My drive home was effectively an entire break in period (~950mi)

Thanks Gentlemen.

Why lower tire pressure? That's new to me.

That’s not an engine break in if I’m honest. We’ve found that dealers are setting tire pressures to max which is far too high for an unladen vehicle. The recommended pressure of 36 is for an unladen vehicle. Makes the driving characteristics much more pleasant.

I second this.

My dealer sent me out of the showroom with all the tires at 40 psi. Twenty minutes later the moment I hit the motorway (freeway) on my trip home I got my first yellow warning alarm as the tires had all warmed up above 42psi. Not a great send off!

Many dealers seem to be setting them to the door sticker pressure (which is for full GVWR); the manual states 36PSI F/R for up to 3 passengers; it greatly improves the road feel of the vehicle
