3rd party Videos Australia NB1 classification. LCT?
Yes I have it also but could not get the configurator to do its job. Try again later. This makes a huge difference to the whole purchase. Does anyone have the On Road costs for this vehicle in QLD?
You QLD guys are getting ripped on that Stamp Duty aren't you.
For a Trialmaster that is costing $102K here in Vic, we only pay $2800.
That is based on my Trialmaster config at $112K

or if you keep your options under control you can save at least $2000 in stamp duty

if the price + on roads is over $100k then stamp duty goes from 3.5% to 5.5%
so i have configured without any dealer fitted options to keep it under $100k
you can always add them later or go after market
My config is not completely poverty spec - but i have selected options that are factory fitted that perhaps would not be available after market
$118K or $120K realistically not a lot of difference to get the options I want.
I will be claiming depreciation on the car over 5 years on my tax return plus I can get another $1,500 of accessories for free

I thought the Trialmaster had the Tow Hitch as Standard?

I thought the Trialmaster had the Tow Hitch as Standard?
Yes I thought so too but I haven't been able to get that clarified.
Happy to just leave it there for now and sort it out when doing the contract
How much fun is this - spending $10K more now on accessories.
My configuration hasn't changed so in reality I am just saving $14K

It is standard. Not sure why they show a cost for it, but I have done the calculations and it's not added to the final cost. A bit confusing!

My wife is so happy & I did predict it (see my post above..."APPLYING THE FORMULA TO THE GRENADIER MEANS IT WOULD BE CONSIDERED PRIMARILY A GOODS CARRYING VEHICLE AND THUS WOULD SEEM TO BE A COMMERCIAL VEHICLE AND EXEMPT FROM LCT.") - now.....what extras can I add on!!

A base price Trialmaster with 17"alloys plus  front towplate is $325 LESS than the individually optioned Station Wagon (as best I can determine with my spreadsheet skills). Both come in under $99K.  So am wondering if simply ordering the Trialmaster (Brisbane delivery) with a couple of options rather than multiple options on a SW might be a simpler order.  Also, it's then easier to explain to the insurance company (RACQ)   in terms of the question: "what additional accessories have you added?"
I'm having trouble trying to get the configurator to provide an update without committing a final change... I need to find out whether changing from SW -Trialmaster version will impact the build date....
Has anyone had advice on what changes are allowed without impacting build date?

PS  window tint, side runners and roof rack etc I'll wait until after delivery (that will save $2k on Qd stamp duty!)

I noticed this comment on my configuration, which if correct I assume should remove these items from the stamp duty calculation

* The selected feature is a removable accessory that will be installed post-registration by your chosen
retail partner and is not considered on the vehicle’s CO2 calculation. Price includes GST and fitment.

You might want to check that in your state, in NSW stamp duty is calculated on the invoiced price of the vehicle. That includes any accessories.

It appears the the configurator is clearer now without the LCT on what does and doesn't incur stamp duty when you add an accessory - dealer fitted or factory.
You have to go to the first screen of the checkout to see, which is a pain due to website response speed - but no biggy
Now i can go and reconfigure with some more options ?

Worth also considering the contrary view - that there might be benefit in getting all desired accessories up-front, regardless of tax implications, and if funds permit - in case it takes a long time for dealers to become adequately stocked in accessory parts (and bearing in mind we live at the far end of the universe). This seems to have been a problem with the New Defender.

S
Yes that is what we'll be doing. Head problems off before they appear!

That's true, but actually it's only 10 extra flight hours.
