Another option is to use a Stockman Pod trailer and get that weight out of the car. The All Roada or Extreme can go almost anywhere I can get my 4X4.Just called JMAX (further to my rant below). Very helpful but...12 months-off as they have just started the process and Federal approval takes many months. I asked for a guestimate on price and was quoted 12k to 30k depending what components are needed
I would like to think that that very few components would be required given that it is built like a tractor.
Anyhow I set up my Grennie for a camping and 4WD weekend and took it fully loaded (inc Adblue, washer fluid, diesel and water cansters full) to a weighbridge......3,620kg 70kg over and still had a passenger to load!
Now not camping this weekend (weather is crap), but had to empty out water, wood, side molle panels with water carriers and 2 X 20l water canisters, Campboss shower, solar blanket, swags, Maxtrax x 2 and crashmats x 2, to get it down by 160kg. I hope that my passenger has not put on any weight! I can't believe that I am so heavy with bare minimum (well maybe more than the bare essentials): Fridge, ARB dual air compressor, Bison Gear roof rack, rear shelf, safari shelves, shovel, rear drivers molle panel, Starlink mini, recovery kit, first aid kits, fire extinguisher, UHF radio, table, chairs x 2, Bison Gear chair shelves, tire repair kit, tire inflation kit, jump start kit, OBD2 reader and a couple of torches. And also a Brown Davis 68litre extended range tank. And Black sheep rock sliders with side steps.
I used the Extreme Offroader with the Nissan Patrol on my 27,000km Kimberly Pilbara trip.
