Another UK dealer gone.

Got one from Ineos today saying shutting Jardone Kent one down, thought they had months ago...
That went last year.

They say my nearest retailer of Grenadoers is Busseys of Attleborough which is almost 4 hours away!!!
I believe Busseys have sold the most IG in the UK. They have switched to the dealer model and appear to be getting some work from Ineos on custom builds (they are kitting out some Grenadier ambulances). You see a lot of Grenadiers in Norfolk and North Suffolk. And hello to the green one I have seen several times in the last few weeks on the A146 near Norwich (sorry I missed the wave last time) and the Britannia Blue around Bramfield.

Unlike Jardine, who had one IG in their Colchester branch before that closed, Busseys had about 20 on site. When buying it you could see all the colour ranges and options out there. The guy at Jardine's didn't give two hoots about me when I tried speaking to him. I pretty much ended my intention to buy an IG at that point, but just by fluke, we happened to be driving past Attleborough on the A11, and my wife said, let's go down the old road through Attleborough, and we did and saw Busseys and made the quick decision to pop in. They were so much better than Jardine.

However, at 4 hours away, I suspect you wont get to experience them.

Got mine booked in at Busseys for some minor warranty work! only 1hour 45 from me which isnt terrible, and if they're better than Jardine then im not fussed!

I will be interested to hear your feedback about Busseys. Some issues I would rather not talk about on an open site.

I hope to goodness they don't wind up Harwoods of Portsmouth servicing as that is my concern, not too fussed about the retaIl side - I have one already!!
I have just received the same email telling me that Jardine's of Kent have ceased acting as an Ineos dealer / service centre.
I had already been told this by Jardines ( who were by then Stratstones ) on 13th December 2024. The fact that Ineos took 3 months to tell me what I already knew and referred to the dealer by the wrong name doesn't help them in delivering a negative message.

They also suggested I go to Busseys of Attleborough in future. That would be a 2 1/2 hr journey for me.
I live in Sussex so Harwoods in Portsmouth would actually be closer , but I am reluctant to deal with Harwoods as I have heard bad reports from Land Rover owners . I would add that this is of the Harwoods Group generally and not specifically the Portsmouth branch.
Apparently the suggested nearest dealers were selected as being the closest to the old dealer and not by proximity to owners addresses. Again this is information that Ineos have and surely with a little thought and effort could have been used to provide a better service.

Having pointed out these concerns e Harwoods I was then told by Ineos customer services that they were in fact also closing !?
The finally gem of advice that I was given was that I could go to any garage of my choice and as long as they use genuine parts and the correct lubricants etc then my warranty will not be affected .
I , as I'm sure most will agree , do not believe that this is either believable or in any way a satisfactory solution.
I was told that the suggested new service centre will pick up my car and provide a courtesy car in ode to help with the situation.
If this was the case I could live with it but I strongly suspect with the decreasing number of service centres increasing the demand on the few remaining that wait times for servicing ( and courtesy cars ) will be unreasonable.
Ineos really need to get a grip of this as they have seriously under delivered on their well advertised promises when it comes to vehicle servicing and support .

Despite all of this , as I approach 28000 miles driven in my Grenadier , it puts a smile on my face every time I get in it , and there is still nothing else out their that I'd swap if for !
Trying hard to keep the faith !!

Harwoods @ Portsmouth have stopped selling but still doing service I believe. Used them for warranty work and happy with their service.

I was sceptical of Harwoods in general as well down to past experiences and labour costs etc. However I had no experience of the Portsmouth branch and I sought two other forum members reviews and they were both glowing.

So I now have experience of Harwoods Portsmouth and find both Sean in the office and Steve in the workshop absolutely top drawer and I am lucky to have them close by. Having said that once out of warranty I'll carry out most of the servicing myself or use a local garage to keep costs and travel to a minimum.

Harwoods Portsmouth no longer have the sales for the Grernadier and therefore I cannot borrow one while mine is being looked at and no other courtesy car available. Means I have to get the train from Haywards Heath or Brighton to Hilsea, not ideal.

There should have been some communication from IA regarding dealer closure and the affected owners. Here is some additional info that they asked me to share.

"INEOS Grenadier UK Retailer changes

As the INEOS Grenadier nears two years on sale in the UK, we feel now's the time to make an important change to the organisation of our Retailer network, pivoting from its current agency sales model to a traditional wholesale/franchise approach. The areas that each individual

Retailer covers, will change as part of this process. This change will give our Retailer partnersmore control, ultimately empowering them to provide our customers with a premium customer experience. This means some Retailers in the UK will be closing. As we grow, new INEOS Grenadier service sites will be opening.

Why are we doing this?
After establishing a strong footprint as an all-new specialist brand, this adjustment will help set us up for the future - to facilitate continued growth and to deliver a premium experience for our customers.

What does this mean for me?
Now that we have successfully established the brand in the UK, this change will ultimately unlock a better customer experience. Customers will be able to take deliveries more quickly, will benefit from greater flexibility, greater availability of a range of finance offers, an easier trade-in process, and better access to used Grenadiers.

What if these changes mean an inconvenience for me?
We appreciate that for some, there will be an inconvenience in the short term. We will be offering vehicle collection and delivery services, where possible to help these customers. This will be offered through the retailer. In addition, our service only footprint is expected to grow as we will add more centres into the UK network.

How can I find out who my nearest INEOS Grenadier Retailer is?
We will be contacting those customers that are affected by the change, directly by email. Customers can also visit our website, where they can see all Retailer locations in the UK: www ioeosgrenadiecro m/en/gb/fiod-a-dealer

Is my new Retailer likely to be busier while the network grows, and what will this mean if I can't book a service appointment to meet the service interval recommendation?
As we build our network, there may be occasions when some customers will find the service departments of their new retailer, busier than normal. Should this be the case, and a booking cannot be made to meet the service interval recommendations, there will be no penalty to our customers as a result.

I live in the South East but am no longer served by a dealer south of Oxfordshire or east of Somerset, where can I go?
This won't be for long. Both these areas have Aftersales support on offer, and we retain Aftersales coverage on the south coast. We expect to add additional sales and service provision across the South East in due course. In the meantime, we will be able to support any sales or service requirements you may have through our current network.

Who can I contact to find out more?
We encourage customers who have questions or concerns to contact us directly. We have a team ready to take their calls to address these directly and help them where we can. Our contact number is: 0800 085 3847 or you can visit the Contact Us section of our website to request a call back:

Thank you for this belated notification from Ineos but the problem is now serious within the UK.
I've just found out that Harwoods Portsmouth are ceasing any service / warranty work from the end
of March ..... 3 weeks notice is not acceptable. The service network has now been decimated in the
South of England and many of the 'early adopters' are now approaching the 2nd year service.

Let's hope that the 'UK Retailer changes' communication comes to fruition quickly and effectively.
We've supported the company from inception now it's their turn to look after us.

My nearest one is an Aston Martin dealer in Birmingham who do they think I am James Bond?

Someone that can pay Aston Martin prices ....
I do wonder though whether their labour charges when working on the Grenadier have been pegged by Ineos as part of the arrangement

Have you got a Scottish accent?
Can't imagine a Brummie Bond, west Country would be amusing!

Try turning up in muddy work boots and clothes, then start climbing in and out of the Astons. Would be interesting to see their faces.
I took a nephew to the Porsche garage when he was young, they let him get in all the cars, gave him a can of pop and a brochure. Not.sure Aston would be?

That really would cock things up for me as waiting on pinion seal parts and change before I head up to Scotland next month or not as the case may now be!

I have always found the Porsche dealers near Cheshire Oaks to be very friendly and never condescending. A refreshing change to the nearby Audi

If you contact Sean 1st thing tomorrow he might be able to book you in prior to the deadline
I had to alter my pre booked service from mid April to next week ....... all done by Sean in a
professional and courteous manner ...... a shame that he won't be able to help us in the future.
