Agile off-road diff breather

Most companies that offer diff beather sets use plastic air lines because the associated connections are practical. However, an Australian company recommends rubber pipes because they are more stable in the long term and do not become brittle even in cold temperatures. I bought the rubber hose last year for just over 1 euro. Today it costs around 2.40 euros per meter. I bought 10 m back then but definitely still have 3 m left.
 
The hard plastic tubing is quite common in multiple industries, is available in multiple colors and compositions, and given the questionable quality of some modern rubber sources, it is also my preference. PTC (push to connect) fittings make assembly simple. I have run these components in Land Rover breathers for decades without a single issue. And in 2016 I even re-plumbed the EAS on my ‘95 Range Rover Classic, including parallel manual air-suspension recovery lines, to get me home in event of a compressor failure.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think anytime you fit parts emblazoned with a NASCAR logo your vehicle will only be able to turn left from that point on? Just teasing, I like the DIY resourcefulness and maybe a bit cheaper option?
 
My simple solution. I love tech and elegant but most of where I roam ARB and other makers spares do not exist.

The 3/8" hose is almost indestructable and easily replaced anywhere in the world or in my case the Americas.

Good work Greasemonkey, I just wonder if it is necessary to change the original ZF and the TC breather. Don´t you think to ínstall just the Differential breather ist enough? It looks like big work to put an new breather to the ZF an TC...
 
At first I wasn't sure whether it made sense to change anything at all. However, since the standard axle breathers corrode quickly and then no longer work properly, I would definitely replace them. Whether you also want to bleed the gearbox, the tank or the housing of the winch, for example, depends on the personal purpose. The standard gearbox breathers are quite high and are mounted on the gearbox bell housing directly behind the engine, so they usually don't necessarily have to be replaced. The standard connection of the transfer case is easy to access and you can easily slide a hose with a 6 mm ID onto it. However, Because of warranty reasons, I wouldn't replace the standard connection with an IOS connection. The cost factor, whether 2 or 4 connections, was quite low and was around 20 euros. I haven't connected the ZF gearbox yet because it's difficult to get to this connection, but the necessary hose is already in place.
