Adrian Flux Discounted Club Insurance With Adrian Flux Insurance.

Discounted Club Insurance With Adrian Flux Insurance.

Hi everyone.

My name is Nick and I am the Owners Club Liaison for Adrian Flux Insurance.

I am proud to announce that we have recently teamed up with theINEOSforum and Global Grenadiers to offer its members discounted insurance policies.

Adrian Flux are celebrating 50 years as the UK’s leading specialist motor intermediary and it is my role to build relationships with our affiliated clubs and to be a point of contact for any of your insurance needs.

We understand that when it comes to the Grenadier it is difficult to obtain the right insurance policy for you, luckily as a specialist insurer we have extremely competitive markets for the Grenadier and on top of this we would also like to offer up to 15% discount to all forum members.

We can tailor our quotes to suit the individual providing benefits such as Agreed Valuation, Extended European cover, Free Legal Cover and Like for Like cover on your modifications!

To make the experience more stress free for our partners we also have a dedicated club team which have a wealth of knowledge and always on hand to assist you.

To obtain your quotation please use the dedicated club line number of 0800 198 9988.

Alternatively, you can private message me here in the forums and I will be happy to help.

Many thanks

Nick

Ouch! I was quoted two days ago for my (hopefully) imminent Trialmaster £1500 p.a. by Adrian Flux.

Having just seen the "dedicated club line number" I thought I would see if there was truly a discount for "Club" membership, and rang just now.

I went in through the same "front door" voice messaging that you get on the standard number and spoke to a chap who did not seem to be part of a "dedicated club team".

The quote is still £1500, the operator telling me that "the discount had already been applied" despite my never thinking of telling Adrian Flux on the last call that I was on the forum.

I currently insure a Discovery 4, a Defender 90 and two 270hbhp sports cars with Adrian Flux for a total of just over £1200 for the four vehicles. £1500 seems awful high given that my brother will pay around £750 for his Grenadier with NFU and I have seen someone else post in the region of £5-600. LV are only slightly better.

Mine was £820 with protected no claims for the Fieldmaster with Hastings Direct. The other quotes via compare the market were bonkers.

That is exactly the experience from many of us. I have used AF to insure my Defender in previous years but now it seems they really aren't interested in insuring the Grenadier. What makes things worse is their claim of being the 'Insurer of choice'. Where does that come from??

Nick - I used AF a few years back and was thinking of you again for the Grenadier - but would I / we be wasting our time. What typical prices are you quoting for full no claims? Perhaps as an 'insurrer of choice' you could throw some example numbers out there - obviously without commitment.

AF were at least £300 dearer than Hastings premier on a like for like basis, no where near competitive enough:(
Discounted only works if the starting point is similar!

I challenge AF to come up with any example of a competitive quote in relation to the Grenadier. Still wondering where their 'preferred Grenadier insurer' status comes from. Have they simply declared that as the fact?

Personally I think this thread should be taken down as a hoax or scam thread.

Yes it does fit in a much as it offers a discounted or preferential price and then actually if you are suckered in, you will end up paying more money than going any where else !!

Thanks Nick. I got £735 from NFU so it’s unlikely AF would shrink that far - and if they do I’d probably be more …. errr … disenchanted. I think you need to kick your underwriters into examining the vehicle risk parameters better. Maybe they don’t need the business - or perhaps the work load.
Sad to leave AF, but likely the other three vehicles will go to NFU.
Poor business practice by AF IMHO.
But what does a retired doctor know? 😜

Adrian Flux is a supporting vendor to the forum. As such this is not a hoax or scam thread.

Yes Stu, as you know I was instrumental in promoting them at the beginning. They promise the earth but never deliver and from my personal experience, the quotes for premiums were vastly too high. I have been back to them a number of times and have other vehicles insured with them, that will change at renewal. My main concern is that they do seem to be aggressively chasing UK owners on the forum, but not offering them the best prices.

I finally settled on Admiral @ £720 although it is 'van' insurance as it's an N1 - NFU wanted £1250 and Adrian Flux was £1500 (both with supposed owners discount) - also that was for private use not commercial

Have been with AF for years - called them today - they have not heard of any "owner's club" for the IG. Always used them for my LR insurance. Will call them again once I have my VIN/Reg but we shall see.
