Just an update on my experience with my Fieldmaster after 6 months and 3200 miles.

It is fantastic! Still love driving it, super comfortable, runs like a champ and no issues at all!

Is all perfect? No.

The flat upright windscreen attracts cicadas like a magnet! Super annoying to wash it all the time. Obviously not the fault of anyone but God.

When I wash it, the utility belt and other fittings drip water making a water mark I have to deal with for an hour after every wash. Because it is Donny Grey you see those water marks if you don’t clean them. No big deal.

The gas tank is too small. I wish it were 25 or 30 gallons.

I wish I had purchased the integrated front winch.

I love the steering and old school feel. I love the seats and the ineos looks fantastic!

There could be a dedicated place for my iPhone, but no big deal. I can deal with that because the infotainment system works flawlessly.

I wish I could switch on the spot lights without being in off-road mode. No big deal as I can put in after markets to my auxiliary system at some point.

I love the rims. They say relatively clean vs attracting brake dust etc.

Could have blind spot warnings, but that is overcome by my wolfbox.

In short, love it. I am thinking about ordering the 1924 special edition when the books open up. I am not sure why everyone on earth doesn’t want one. It is cool, fun, quirky, weird, stylish and solid as hell.

Thanks for the update, I agree on all points! (Except, I don’t want everyone on earth to own one too….🤪). And……we literally searched out the Dr. Feelgood video on YouTube last night 😂 my wife’s favorite crue song

We’re 3 months & 7,000+ in to the adventure and loving every minute of it!

It is impossible to drive the Grenadier without classic hard core 80s/90s rock man

What about the winch makes you regret not purchasing it?

Took delivery in January so just about at 6 months. Absolutely love the wagon. Similar annoying ADAS stuff but I’m hopeful the updates will over time improve that.

Great vehicle !
Solid construction too…..

At this point, I don’t notice the adas noises at all. You get use to it very quickly.

I am having trouble finding a non stock winch that fits neatly behind the front bumper. The stock winch aesthetically is great.
The only option I think you'll find will be GP Factor's offering with a bespoke ComeUp winch if you want it completely within the stock bumper

I'm the junior here obviously, just 1 month in and 500 miles... finally run in so I can start really pressing that pedal :)

First statement: I LOVE THIS TRUCK.

I agree with you on pretty much all points. The water is hard in Bucks and washing it is a nightmare. The ceramic paint job has made a massive difference, the dirt just comes off, but the water marks are a total pain. I really liked the leaf blower idea from @Cheshire cat which I'm going to be trying at the weekend.

It would have been perfect if they had made the flat piece in front of the stick a wireless charging pad... that would have been the nuts.

I think the infotainment system is pretty good. A few tweaks and it pumps out aforementioned heavy metal and Dad rock with aplomb. Small concern: I was driving along one day and it just switched on... it was playing some Islamic prayer channel, broadcasting some horrific dirge about doom and death... it went on for about 20 seconds then switched off. My two boys were laughing uncontrollably and are convinced the machine is possessed. It hasn't done it again, so I'm hoping I had left the radio on and it was maybe just a mystery DAB channel coming into reception and off again.

You should be able to switch on the front spotlamps just using the overhead switch - they will not illuminate without the main beam however, because it's not legal to run with them on otherwise.

Agree on the fuel tank, especially on the petrol which drinks a bit faster than one would like...

The steering is fantastic, I like the greatly reduced feedback and it's all part of the fun actually having to steer the thing. I would value a better turning circle though.

All in all this thing is still rated 9 out 10 for me. It doesn't get 10 only because I'm a miserable Jock that doesn't ever give anything anywhere anytime the full 10.

One thing I would add, and hoping I don't wind anyone up here, but I was surprised just how much smoother the petrol is over the diesel demo vehicle I had for an afternoon. She still surprises me when I press the pedal and pull off. Not quite Range Rover level, but a lot closer than I expected. She gives a genuinely lovely throaty growl when I pull off, and quite a "woof" when I lift the foot.
If you are still considering the diesel over petrol then I would say go diesel if range or economy are your drivers, but otherwise and if you're not bothered by the 20mpg guzzling then I would strongly recommend the petrol.

Well as far as the wireless charger goes you can probably guess who’s done this already, over a year ago ! @Jean Mercier

Interestingly the local dealer (Brisbane Australia) was saying this week that there are more petrols being ordered now than diesels, as the demographic of todays buyer is changing from the original pre manufacture buyer.
