I must be like one of those husky’s that just runs right thru the shock collar fence. I don’t even here or see these warnings half the time, and I seldom have the radio on. They ain’t saving my life.

Thanks for sharing, seems to confirm our suspicion about BT being part of equation.
It's funny, I have not determined why it happens, it seems completely random, much like the speed warning staying off after multiple days of being parked and the auto start/stop remaining off randomly as well.

Let's all just he honest. IA dropped the ball on the software. They blew the budget on mechanical design and half assed the software. The constant lights that I cannot do anything about, or frankly could care less about "Speed Assist Limited", "AEB Unavailable", constant "High Tyre Pressure" etc. And anyone thought clicking at someone who went 1 MPH over the speed limit was going to save lives or slow people down is dense.

The worst part is that it would be damn near perfect if it wasn't for these small nuisance nannies.

Did Mossy ever sort your car out? No need to go through with the lemon law lawsuit?

They attempted to fix it again. Threw more parts at it. It's still wonky AF. I am still working through the process. Would be a lot easier if they complied with any of it. It's been a real pain TBH. Their lack of making it right is a bit sad.

I'm told the best course of action is just to sell it and move on. Maybe a nice Volvo station wagon will suit you better. Possibly a Subaru as well.

Bummer when they can’t or won’t acknowledge something is really off with the car. Hope it gets sorted one way or another.

As an early adopter Series 1 owner I can confirm it is, despite the humungous milk crate sized skeleton destroying RHD footrest so beloved by @trobex and others.

I’m pretty critical of some of the stupid shit ineos plastered on this rig, and not entirely committed to it even though I’m proceeding with planning like I am, so one really can’t call me a fanboy, but with the issues you’ve documented, and the vitriol which which you describe the trucks shortcomings, any casual reader is gonna recommend you part with it to maintain your sanity. It ain’t fanboyz busting’ nutz it’s just normal people putting themselves in your shoes, and suggesting the course of action they would take.

A truck is just a tool, and while we all make concessions when a tool isn’t perfect, you don’t really make this read as if it works for you at all. Life’s too short to be angry and frustrated at a frigging truck that didn’t meet expectations.
Zimm, just because I have things I don’t like doesn’t mean I loose sleep at night. Next I have a 23 loaner and it’s perfect and quiet and doesn’t require a bunch of nonsense to make it a pleasure to drive. This bull shit people spew about get rid of it, move on, let it go blah blah blah. It’s all bull shit. Most here drive their truck to the mall or work once a day. Mines getting fixed, Ineos knows they are stuck with it till they resolve all its issues and the software.

I am missing the reference.

Edit: I'm not sure I ever really saw that thread. I joined Pirate in Sept 2002. I am Puffdragon on there.
Hmm….. you’re Pirate but don’t know wenzel? Hmm…. Kinda like a previous 110NAS owner forgetting their number…. Hmmmm…. Or a hobby pilot not knowing his hours…. Hmmmm…… hm.

🤨😛

You’ll find on this forum if you don’t textile the virtue of Ineos and worship at the altar of sub par you’ll be told sell your truck often. Either you take it as is and live all the bull shit, or you sell it. There can be no middle ground. Complain about the truck at your own peril because the Ineos gods will frown down upon you for complaining.

Complaining is fine....it's not perfect. We all agree. But a few of you incessantly complain in multiple threads and play the victim card when others get tired of your whining.

Life's short, if you are not happy move onto something else.....or continue to wallow in your misery.

You’re missing the big picture. HOW you present yourself and the issues you’ve encountered affects the perception of the people reading it. Once a person makes the decision to present a concept to listeners, the presenter is responsible for the listeners understanding the concept, not the listeners. If so many people think ditching the car is your best outcome, consider it’s the impression you’ve created with your presentation.

I.e. stay the course and youre likely to continue to get the same advise.

Agreed. It's not that I think the Grenadier is perfect, just that the good overwhelmingly outweighs the bad.

What is truly bad on mine (HVAC & Tell Tale display issues) I'm pursuing with Ineos. I don't have to bitch and complain or insult other owners in order to do that.

If you fundamentally cannot drive the vehicle because of the steering, you should probably move on. If lifting your right foot to stop the click, or pressing the button to disable it is too much, IDK what to tell you. I hope an update is coming to allow me to disable it, but I've learned to deal with it.

😔 I feel I have let Pirate down.

What side of the forums were you on? I rarely ventured far from the LR and Unimog sections.

My wife and I disagreed on new kitchen cabinets last night. Should I just divorce her now? If not liking something causes you to cut and run in life, you really need to re consider how you see life. Anyone here saying sell the truck instead of make the issue known needs to give their head a shake

It’s been said previously but maybe worth saying again that ADAS is not a US requirement…yet, but IG decided to include them in US vehicles. And even if they were required in 2024, most vehicles that have similar warnings allow the end-user to disable them and not turn on again.

If the speed warning/4clicks saves lives, I’d like to see stats that reflect that statement. Until the vehicle actually slows you down or governs your speed, which is coming I’m sure, 4 clicks ain’t going to do $hit…except to be incredibly annoying.

The other ADAS systems like lane departure, emergency breaking, etc…I can see having some benefits.

True. Neither are daytime headlights and we can permanently turn them off as well. I can't do that with any of my other vehicles.
