1924 stuck in Baltimore

So you are going to base your purchasing and ownership decision on the availability of a workshop manual, which we all know won't be available anytime soon.
We hope but secretly we all know Santa and the Easter Bunny aren't real.

Sounds more like you have changed your mind on the purchase and have an excuse ready for the day.
Well - at least Santa was real - he supposedly punched the famous priest Arius (as in “the Arian heresy”) in the nose during the Council of Nicea - “a right jolly old elf.” I can’t vouch for the Easter Bunny.
 
Ordered my 1924 on June 26,2024.
The dealership says it’s a matter of days before it arrives. Has anybody taken delivery of specifically the 1924 edition?
You’ve had a very long wait. I ordered my 1924 in September ‘24 and received 2 weeks ago. Exceptional and well worth the wait (though I’m still waiting for the side-runners…)

I’m not sure why there is a discussion about what is or is not provided by other manufacturers, when the promise of access to manuals was not promised by them, but by Ineos. I didn’t buy the other car, I bought an Ineos. End of story. Regardless, local mechanics can get access to repair data with other marques, but not Ineos. We don’t even have a choice to get the rig fixed without a warrantee claim for expedience, if the time and distance to an Ineos repair facility prove impossible.
 
Given the fact that there are MY23, MY24.1, MY24.2, MY24.3, and MY25 vehicles that all have differences (non mechanical), this could certainly be a reason as to delay the manual....
Why? Clearly there’s information available for their mechanics. I’m mean, by this reasoning, no car could have material available until it’s out of production.

I'm not sure why there's a discussion about manuals in a thread about delivery of the 1924 special edition. The thread drifted off line at post #2, speared into the Armco at post #3, sputtered back on track briefly at #22 (well done jonny72), then it's faffed about since. Very forum-esque.

I weighed in after MattA made some curious claims about manuals. He must be using a new bait. I can normally resist.

I think the main reason is they came up with the idea of doing the manual before anyone actually looked to see if it was possible in a real world sense.
The 3D cad manual as shown is wonderful but as I have said before, the reality of having it available on a new model, which was constantly changing in the early days, is a huge and expensive undertaking.
Not to mention there is considerable variation by country, year model and model variations.
How would you possibly know which version of the manual is correct for your vehicle?
The possible variations on configurator are numerous and you can't even choose my vehicle anymore.

I seriously think they regret that promise but are too far down the rabbit hole to back out.
 
Compared to old printed texts, this is a cakewalk. You punch in your vin on the website and any addendums that pertain to you pop up.

I’ll give ya 10 to 1 they traded customer access to data for dealers signing contracts on the dotted line.
