China has knocked off the Grenadier. 🤣

Looks like those toy cars Godzilla used to step on in the old-school non-CGI movies😂😂….or the Chinese version of an old school LC

The rivets(?) are an interesting design choice.

I'm gonna go Gen 1 Patrol and a little russian Gaz, but its definitely classic chicom BJ styling.

Are they available in Europe and Africa?

Actually, it is not a knock off the Grenadier, that's a new model of BJ212, which has a very long history dated back to 1964

This is the original one, which you still can buy in 2021.

I had a ride in one (original one) when I was kid. It was an exciting experience, since no person could privately own a car back then.
However, that car is a genuine industrial garbage with Soviet Union standard :)

aka as the iron pig
Ghastly styling - but several countries, east and west, have been guilty of that.

Iron Pig is a classic FJ55 nickname - I believe the 55 was the first FJ model to come to the States.

I sold my patina'ed but completely rust free '72 pig in a downsizing move in the early 2000's for 4800 bucks to a friend that begged me for it. Everything about that truck was wrong... but was perfect as whole. with a three on three i could leave it sitting anywhere, and it was untheftable by modern yout's. he resold (figures) and it ended up with some dude that did a complete restoration, so, the sow ended up with a loving chubby chaser. Alls well that ends well.
