What is this cup thing that came with my new grenadier?

Now I might be being a complete thicko here, but I have no idea what this is supposed to be? It came with my new grenadier sat in one of the cup holders. It doesn’t have a sealed lid and it’s got some odd fittings inside. I genuinely have no idea what it’s for

Can anyone enlighten me (remember there is no such thing as a dumb question, however I do stand by to be thoroughly embarrassed by my ignorance!)

Yes, you have won the highly coveted smoker’s pack, and that is the ashtray. That means you can do the lift without the drive shaft failing, and turn off the speed warning once (and it will stay off).

I've had those come with many vehicles as the "smoker's pack" or something similar, Have 4 like that sitting in my garage! I usually use them as change holders.

I ordered the smokers pack for my Grenadier (I don't smoke) just because I am hoping that means it includes a 12 volt lighter socket outlet somewhere... And the lighter itself can be handy as a fire starter etc in a pinch!

I think it was a $90 option. Gonna be bummed out if all it includes is that ashtray.

I think you all are right. I’d never have guessed it an ashtray (I don’t smoke). Now to see if there is a cigarette lighter somewhere in the car….

look in the centre armrest/box the 12v socket should be in there be with lighter but possibly with removable plastic plug.

I don’t think the smokers pack gives you an extra 12v outlet - just the ashtray and a heating element for the existing 12v outlet in the center console. That’s always been a little vague for me, but I have not seen anyone post a picture of another 12v outlet (other than the one in the cargo bay and the one in the center console). Much to my chagrin, the jerks in this forum, and my dealer, never bothered to inform me that the outlet in the center console was live, even if you don’t purchase the smokers pack. I assumed that wasn’t the case, and my dealer told me it wasn’t - so I was digging through all the pictures that @Jean Mercier and others posted, assuming I would have to run line from EXT 1 & 2. Surprise - the outlet in the center console is live without the smokers pack, and it literally just gives you an ashtray and a heating element. I make myself look stupid enough - didn’t need the extra assistance from this crowd of jokers.

Don’t feel too bad. It’s kind of like the “premium” stereo system. You pay a premium and still get a crappy system.

You know - I bought that very guitar and got the delivery notification from FedEx saying it had been delivered, with the picture of the invisible package on my front porch. I just couldn’t see the package so haven’t been able to play my air guitar. You’re all missing out, let me assure you.
