I use it as a daily driver 40kms each day, inner city & suburbs, plus on weekends. RHD, no concern with the driving position and the seats make it a damn comfortable place to be. 12,000kms down with no major issues except for a broken windscreen but that was fixed relatively quickly. I live within 20kms of a dealer and all my interactions with them since purchase have been positive.

It’s not a Toyota with their level of support, reliability, commonality and banality but that’s why I like it. It’s a bit quirky and you need to go in with an open mind and a bit of patience but it gets better and makes me smile more & more with every drive.

In my view (and several others within this forum, some online reviews, and some video reviewers), the RHD version is not comfortable enough for me to honestly recommend to anyone in the same version where daily commuting is required. I drive this thing for 30kms and I'm itching for a more comfortable seating/sitting position which is hard to get comfortable no matter what - as have several of my friends who have driven my Gren.
However, I would willingly and actively support any LHD future ownership... I cannot see any real downside in that vehicle's arrangement!! Performance wise, mine has been stellar.
The RHD issue is well documented and impacts some people severely and others not at all. The general view is that if you prefer a lower-down, leg-straightened seating position, then the lump will really feel intrusive and uncomfortable. If you prefer a higher-seated dining room chair style position, then the lump is less of an issue. Body shape may also come into play. I believe each person needs to see for themselves rather than have a blanket anti-RHD position.

For the OP - if you own a Grenadier, this is you (in your head) - the few, the proud . . . The MacGyvers.

Oh God, does he still exist. It's been a long time since I heard from him.
He’s immortal - what the hell do you mean by “does he still exist?” He is an eternal flame that still burns in our hearts. You’re German, so maybe you’re too preoccupied with David Hasselhoff.

I'm 5k miles in since May. It's exclusively a weekend car. The garage at work is too low for it to get in.

No major issues besides the AC blowing hot air on a specific vent setting. I'm adding them to fix it but I'm not super annoyed by the since auto setting works ok.

I did change the steering dampener and that was a great thing. Much more enjoyable on the highway.
To me the car is a bit of a canvas with so many options, and much more coming, for personalization. I was never into the Jeep Wrangler craze in the US, I've spent lots of time in a defender 110 in Africa but that was pretty stock.

My new Grenadier has had low of little things added, digital rear view mirror, better off road lights in the grille. Great roof rack. Interior luggage shelf. Just lots of little things that perhaps reflect my increased disposable income today vs when I was in my 20s. Still its becoming a comfortable and capable expedition vehicle which is exactly what I wanted.

You got that completely wrong. Just stay away from me with the singer looking for freedom. I always thought McGyver was great. He was actually on our TV too. But I haven't heard anything from him for what feels like decades. Old memories come back to me.

It’s pretty crazy the first time you see it right?! I came across it maybe 1.5-2yrs ago and I mentally fell over. My first thought was that it might be a new Defender, which I’ve always obsessed over and wanted. I’ve owned the LR Disco 1 & 2 in the past and now own a LR3 too, but I always wanted the Defender more than anything.

I’ve only had my Grenadier for 2 months and haven’t had any issues except a little buzz sound from my AC when the fan is on the highest setting. I LOVE my Grenadier! Completely love everything about it. Wait, except the ADAS — but there is supposed to be a patch at some point. Every single time I get in it, I’m excited.

I hesitated too about getting it - I haven’t had a new car in maybe 2 decades. I had the cash for it, but spending this kind of money on a car is something I’ve never come close to doing, and I felt a little guilty. But once I got it — no regrets whatsoever! And if a few frustrating issues occur in the future — 1) my Rovers were good training for that lol and 2) I love it enough to accept some cons.

If you’re crazy for it, my advice is to go for it bc you will be more crazy for it after you buy it. Plus if you buy it and you have issues and you regret it and you want to sell it — you’ll lose some money, yes, but that money over a lifetime is not actually horrible and you will be glad you at least tried it either way. In my mind, I feel like you could regret it more if you don’t try it because trust me, you’ll just obsess over it and wonder about it if you don’t try it.
Test driving this Saturday…can’t wait!!!

Have had two since April 2023 here in Europe - utterly reliable and great owner experience
Hey I knew there had to be more like me with multiple Grenadiers!! AND we have the same reliability & owner experience. NOICE!!!!🙌

To the thread starter, I can’t guarantee you will have a trouble free vehicle like I have had so far, but I can guarantee you will start wanting to find errands to go run just so you can drive it again & again & again.

The first thing is your seating position, make sure you can see the front corners of the Gren...sitting high is the best for me and many owners on here say the same. Make sure you are comfortable, then feel the steering, it is different and takes a little to get the hang of it but then the car will engulf you, so have a cheque book handy...hope it is the right colour...happy motoring :ROFLMAO: (y)

Just discovered the Grenadier as a former Rover owner and going for a test drive this weekend. Leery of being an "early adopter". Justified? Feedback from anyone driving one for more than 6 months is appreciated.
Well, we test drove one so I don’t have a lot to report, but I can say it was an impressive ride. The build quality is really something. Solid.
