I do not know anyone in this threads, heck anyone on this entire forum personally, so I am a neutral 3rd party reading this thread for the first time right now and for what it’s worth will add my $0.02 in…..
First IslandFalconer, I don’t think anyone is trying to annoy or make fun of your circumstances. When the comment was made about eating an extra Cheerio to push a few extra buttons, I personally took that as a joke. Sure maybe you are so angry at your circumstances that you are not in the mood for jokes, but the same right that gives you this forum to come on and type up all your issues and anger gives others the same right to try a little levity in maybe hopes of making you smile or easing the situation. Guess that didn’t work out like it was probably intended.
I absolutely feel bad for you in your situation. I am one the people that feel in love with the Grenadier and I ended up buying a 2nd one and luckily have had ZERO issues with either. This has been in the last 3-4 months so, not sure if older production models have more of the gremlins or not. Is it perfect, of course not what vehicle is? But this thing makes me want to get out and drive again. I literally try to find reasons to run errands, go to the store, just get out and drive one of them. I have owned MANY vehicles over the last 15-20 years, and this is honestly the first one that made me want to buy a 2nd one.
Call me crazy, some do, but I am even considering buying a Quartermaster when they hit the USA, depending on if they can get around the “chicken tax” (Google it it’s a real USA law on importing trucks to the USA and being charged a 25% tax fee, yea 25% so add that to the already high cost of there rides and then it gets too high for me at least I am sure some will still pay that). So that will make 3! Anyway, myself and you have obviously had totally different experiences on Grenadier ownership. My advise to you would be to sell it and move on honestly. If you really want one, then find a way (sell, trade in, something) to get rid of the one you have and get you a different Grenadier as maybe you do have a “lemon”. In the USA we have a “lemon law” and can make the dealership take the vehicle back if documented recurring problems occur. Not sure if Canada (just seeing your avatar in this post looks like that’s your country) has a similar law, but maybe look into that as well. Just trying to give you some positive ideas. I don’t think anyone here is trying to upset you, but in all honesty some of your post to me seem overly aggressive and angry. You might be that way because of your circumstances, but maybe just read the comments with an open mind and realize the posters are only trying to help with advise or even jokes in hope of even for a few minutes make you forget what’s going on. Again, this is just a random forum member reading your posts and the responses. Good luck with your situation, and I do mean that!!
