Bonjour,

search "Canny outdoors" on YouTube. John Canny, a member on this forum has an excellent video where he prepares his Grenadier for outback travel.. including uncovering and connecting the aux. outlets.

Also, with respect, this issue has been "done to death" on this forum... just do some searching... ;)

When trying to locate the wire ends in all 3 locations, look for a small amount of black electrical tape around black fabric tape used on the loom. That is the easiest way to home into the precise location, once you know the general areas too look. That black electrical tape is what is taping the wire ends to the black fabric tape of the loom.

On a right hand drive car, the under bonnet wire ends are near the airbox. Some owners found it easier to remove the airbox to help find the wire ends.

Would this location be on the left hand side for an American Car? Or would it always be located on the right hand side? Thank you for your videos.
Short answer yes. There will be wire ends in the passenger and driver side footwells. These wire ends are taped to the wiring loom and sometimes can be hard to find. Look for plastic tape around the loom's fabric tape, because often that plastic tape is holding the wire ends to the loom (this was the case with my car).

The standard power option gets you 3 wire ends, 10 amp under the bonnet, 10 amp in the right and left footwells. Look at Figure 2 and Table 2 in Rok Dr's Guide.

High aux power gets you more power options, for details see Figure 2 and Table 3 in the same Guide.

We can thank John Canny for the videos!

There are no wire ends, in the footwells, if your car is not fitted with the high power aux power option.
Yes there are, they are standard on ALL models irrespective of high power aux power option. I have single battery and no aux option but have footwell and 10amp under bonnet outlet

Thanks, you are correct, the footwell wire ends are part of the Standard power option. I will correct my earlier post and reference the Rok Dr Guide.

That may mean there are model differences between countries. In Australia it appears to be limited to those with high aux power option, which the AU Spec Trialmaster comes with, or you can select it in a base model Grenadier.
All UK models have them. On Aus models what do the overhead switches Power, and the other 3 do?? if no footwell outlets?

Has anyone been able to find a fuse or relay exclusively for EXT1? F128 in the underseat electrical center is for the entire overhead panel. It is hot whenever the overhead panel is on, even if EXT1 is switched off.

I would like to get power switched by EXT1 somewhere in the passenger compartment and not in the engine bay.

Thx.
