Just installed a TopOak tent and 270 awning. For the price I am very pleasantly surprised. Very well built. I used the Leitner crossbars and tent brackets.
How has it affected the driving of your vehicle and fuel consumption?

Honestly don’t think it adds more than 5 or 10% more noise and probably no more than just the Leitner crossbars alone. I don’t really keep track of mileage but here is what the truck is telling me since I put it on.

Has anyone installed a roof top tent (tent box lite 2) on top of the Rhino roof rails?

I’m having difficulty finding fixings to attach my tent box to the Rhino cross bars because the width of the roof rails are too wide for the brackets included for the tent box.

Need some kind of tent box brackets for the T slots.

Does anyone have any suggestions. Thank you
I have a 250 lb tent mounted on a G500 and used these rain gutter towers from Gamiviti. Well made. I used cross bars from Sherpa, bolting the bars to the tent, then the hardware to the bars. Been 20K miles off road and nothing but success. Should be similar for the Ineos.

Here are some pics of the Topoak tent. Had a decent rain last night and no drips. Only had the screens up on the sides, didn’t zip the tent but it wasn’t too windy at all.

My 23zero X3 roof top tent & iKamper hard shell 270 awning (moved from other vehicle) and now on the grenadier with Leitner bars, using their tent mount brackets which are way better than 23zero’s. Clears the safari windows. It all fit like a charm and is surviving proper Colorado off-roading.

For those who have the Ineos Rhino Cross Bars. Here is the Rhino roof top tent brackets without adding extra height and drilling through the bars. Fits perfectly. They slide in the side slots and comes with fixings. Purchased two kits for the roof top tent. 1 kit per cross bar.

Cool. Hey I like that bike rack - what kind is it?

1up Rack that I have had for 15 years or so. The pivot is from Yakima, it works well but the arm needs to be 4 or 5 inches longer. The door won’t quite open all the way. Other then that it is pretty darn stable.

Is it worth confirming that your truck is on US gallons, which is equal to 0.83 Imperial (UK) gallons?
If that's the case then us Brits need to convert to real money :)
We can consider your MPG as 16.5/0.83 = 19.9mpg - which is pretty good for this truck!!

Is it a quirk of the camera lens or is there an actual sag in the front Leitner bar from the weight of the RTT?

Just guessing here, but it looks to me like there is an angled piece that is part of the mounting for the awning. The angle gives the appearance of sag, but I suspect it is an illusion (unless there is a 55 gallon barrel inside that tent).

I am in US Gallons. I don’t believe what it is telling me but it didn’t really change much with the tent.

I think your seeing the base of the tent and awning at an angle due to the low res image and the wide angle lens pic . The bars are way thick and strong and don’t flex like a Yakima or Thule bar. I can’t get good light tonight for a pic, but here’s a shot of how the gap between the tent and bars stays the same and allows me to slide in my sand ladders between em.

55 gallon barrel? Is that a fat joke? 🤣
