Had anyone tried moving the overhead switches around?
OverheadSwitches_1.jpg

Ext3 - left rear aux power outlet on the roof - rear-facing scene/reverse and left scene lights.
Ext2 - right scene light.
Ext1 - 10A in engine bay - KC Hilites Flex Era 4 backlights
Ext5 - 25A in engine bay - KCHFE4 main lights.
I want Ext2 and 3 to switch places. Same with Ext1 and 4.
Is it as simple as opening the panel and changing the positions of the switches or their wires?

Looking at the provided, looks may be able just to move the switch. The limiting factor may be length of available wiring.

Thank you, All! I was able to reposition the overhead panel switches from this...

To this...

Swapping the labels was the easy part.

Per instructions from the page @landmannnn posted above, the process started with removing 12 screws and pulling out this panel:

The second panel is exposed and these two screws need to be removed:

Used a plastic pry tool to dislodge the main panel:

Main panel dislodged:

Pushed each switch in while pressing on these tabs:

Pressed in and twisted a small fathead screwdriver to unseat the wired plug from the rocker switch assembly:

From there, I repositioned the switches to my desired locations. The front backlight switch wires needed more slack to reach its new position so I had to cut some electrical tape and one ziptie to add just enough slack.

That’s my guess… trying to figure out size. Are they the same as the screws that hold the cover panel?

@grnamin I lost one of those little buggers when I mounted my brake control switch to the overhead panel. Fell somewhere between the center console and the passenger seat. Thanks for the measurements. Much appreciated.

I wish Ineos would have a compartment-based kit of screws, nuts, and bolts available for purchase. I think the only ones who haven't lost a fastener or two are those haven't taken something apart in their Grenadiers, yet. ;) It's a rite of passage.
