Hey - apologies if this has already been asked. Does the rear camera allow for backing up the vehicle to line up the hitch ball with the receiver?
Hi @bikesandguitars as @ADVAW8S said, there are different opinions. The off-center camera means you can't see the trailer running straight towards the ball. Personally, I'm fine with it. However, I've been used to reversing trailers and, of course, coupling them for decades. I don't have a camera at all on my Land Rovers. So this is a huge improvement for me. But I understand people who don't do it that often and have an extra camera fitted.Hey - apologies if this has already been asked. You summed it up, if you've never had one on your towing vehicle, it's a improvement. But until you're nearly on top of the hitch you're still " blind" when a fair distance away trying to select your line. I often have to drive forward to reposition myself. I'll get used to it.Hi @bikesandguitars as @ADVAW8S said, there are different opinions. The off-center camera means you can't see the trailer running straight towards the ball. As others have said, opnions are divided but I think the standard camera is useless for exact alignment to the trailer hitch. My previous ride, a Grand Cherokee, has a brilliant rear camera and 8"screen and I could line up the tow hitch with millimetre precision.Hey - apologies if this has already been asked. Hi, be interested to see exactly how they are going to supply the power. Just wondering if it's a case of fitting an old fashioned fridge relay. Any more information on this would be most helpful. My dealer has been no help, my auto electrician does not want to touch it and Buzz could not give a fixed price. Cheers BHi, You are absolutely right and it is only wired to 10 pins, my dealer has had the same issue with another customer, the fix will cost me £225 and I will get this done. I thought that my fridge was running OK but as I had freezer blocks in for transit, they must have dropped the temperature sufficiently! Cheers, John
My 2022 Tundra practically backed itself on. I never needed a ground guide. Oh well, I’ll figure it out.As others have said, opnions are divided but I think the standard camera is useless for exact alignment to the trailer hitch. A great photo of two cracking vehicles.Towed a ~4500lb load today when I moved my 1965 Series 2A 88in Land Rover to a car show. Grenadier towed extremely well, with no bad behavior and surplus power in every situation. I didn't check the tongue weight but it sat very flat with no appearance of squatting. Handled perfectly.
At one point I hooked up the trailer and failed to fully insert the electrical plug for lights. Once I got going the Grenadier display told me exactly which light (RH turn signal) was not working properly. Very impressive.
The reverse camera being offset from the vehicle centerline is a head-scratcher. Admittedly I am spoiled by the excellent centered camera on my previous vehicle (4-door Jeep Wrangler JLU), which makes it incredibly easy to position the ball first try every time. I can't say it is a big deal, but realistically what is the benefit of offsetting the camera to be centered under the spare tire?
Overall, towing was great fun. No drama and very confidence-inspiring.

Nice camper trailer. What make is that

I was told by a very senior exec that all the vehicles going down the assembly line still only have the “10” part wireing loom into the 13 pin plug. Three holes are still blanked off.
Beggars belief!
Green for the win! That is so damned cute ... admit that you've considered getting Scottish White steelies for the Grenadier and then painting the trailer Sela Green!Picked up a small trailer
Yes. It's pretty easy once you get used to the off set camera. Occasional towers may have struggled, and yes it would have been better if the camera was central, but as I say once you're used to it its just like any other reverse camera.Hey - apologies if this has already been asked.
