M&M courier charges to Australia were almost as much as the seat covers themselves! I have therefore decided to get a set of Tougher covers instead. They use FedEx Express to Australia, the cost of which is less than half of that quoted by M&M.

That's how I was trying it but it hindered access tp the lever and I was afraid it could cause damage.
Lift the lever slightly and slide! It's certainly possible with care, perseverance and ensuring all leads fully tightened. Absolutely no need for redesign.

On my M&M covers, using a wide blade plastic trim tool I pushed the covers behind the main plastic section which provided a more 'fitted' look.

You made me post. It is supposed to go inside the plastic, not outside. There is a Tougher Video explaining all!
That sheet of paper at the bottom of the box, that your wife said, do you need this and you said nope, throw it in the recycle bin!The video I watched wasn’t a Grenadier and had different style seats. Is there an IG-specific video I missed.
Also, what are these “instructions” you speak of?
