9. Remove ABS and traction control relay from daughter-in -law's 20 yo Mercedes ML320, which disabled various systems. Drive car 15km carefully home ; intermittent automatic unilateral braking issue did not occur = good
Removed centre console and pulled presumed faulty yaw sensor out. Ordered another one , ex USA.
10. Ordered 2 windscreen washer reservoir grommets to repair washer system
11. Replace battery in tyre pressure monitoring system in another car.
12. Retrieved eggs from chook house
13. Relocated a large centipede scurrying quickly down the hallway.
14. Placed rat trap in the roof space
15. Other stuff I've forgotten
16. Poured a glass of wine.
Tomorrow , back to reporting surgical biopsies in the office.

I am between jobs and thus in the last 24 hours taking care more than I normally do, for sure:

1) Washed truck.
2) Dropped off truck / Toyota to get hood and roof repainted this week - so without a vehicle (borrowing one where I can this week - so weird not having a vehicle available). My BMW seems to be dead from all the rain and hitting the electrical system I'm trying to troubleshoot (that's another story).
2) Negotiated / accepted a pay cut so I can get back working quickly. A bit disappointed of course, but upwards and onwards.
3) Scheduled a piss / drug test for tomorrow.
4) Completed background check authorization nonsense - not sure why they gave me a job offer before a background check ...
5) Took one of the dogs to the vet who's had a bout of vomit / trots since Saturday.
6) Scheduled freight pickup for a bad tool cabinet (due in the next four hours hopefully to pick it up) that was delivered to me (the second one pre-damaged in the last six months).
7) Unboxed and setup a new 12" miter saw that's been boxed up for 6 months so I can continue to build a deck while I have free time before the job start.
8) Started cleaning out shed with my old office stuff that I'll need again.

I worked all day from morning until now.

Together with my son
- brought an iSeries (aka AS/400) to a customer and carried it to the second floor (40 Kg).
- checked a network installation with my Softing analyser and unpacked and installed 4 new Linux PCs and monitors.
- ate a "Leberkäsweck mit Salzgurke" (meatloaf roll with salted cucumber?) for lunch with my son.
Then my son went home and I
- updated all PCs to the latest software versions.
- had a fight with the iSeries, because it didn't want to accept my console configuration.
- came out of the office at the customer and found that the sun is shining.
- drove home through heavy rush hour traffic.
- looked at this forum and wrote this post.
- found myself asleep in my office chair after half an hour.

It was an atypical day. I'm not used to this kind of work anymore (as opposed to what I normally do: write software).
Tomorrow will be better. Then I will transfer the data from the old system to the new one and switch off the old system after all tests have been done. It was a three months project (system migration).

Friday will be the best: Then I will write the invoice.
