Did anyone think about installing a CTIS (Central Tyres Inflation System)?

Trying to find out who did the one of the Mercedes G6x6 but limited info so far online.

Trying to pick the community brain here, so as to find pros & cons, after market system’s available, type and models etc

There is one such system used in Australia called the Tyre Spider by Clearview Accessories. Some reviews on Youtube, but most of those people appear to be sponsored.

ARB have a tyre pressure control system that hooks up with their compressors ($300 Aud). Combined with a 4 way hose you can do all up and all down at once. You can also do individually with signle hose, but i wouldn't go to that extent to do 1 tyre at a time.

This of course is not auto control of tyres from a button on the dash, thats a whole lot of complexity I wouldn't want to deal with, or pay for

Portal hubs look like the only way have a fully integrated system fitted to the Grenadier. The 6x6 Mercedes G63 has portal hubs with CTIS. Other retrofit CTI systems have external hoses going down to the hubs, similar to systems used on logging and fertilizer spreading trucks.

Maxtrax makes a simpler version (2 and 4 hose) to those listed so far, which you connect to your own compressor, view here.

Maxtrax is a multi inflate system not a true ctis. Multiflate systems still require you to stop and hook it up. CTIS let's you do it on the fly, adjust while driving.

Which is probably why it is USD3,000! Out of budget for most users.
