It appears that the connection between the alarm remote control and the car wasn’t properly installed so the car went into immobilization mode when we unlocked it. Apparently that means the motor starts but the gears are blocked. Am not sure if this is typical for the alarmsystem our dealer in Holland has installed. Might be worthwhile to check for your Grenadiers!

The vehicle already comes with a "competent" alarm/immobiliser. A more sophisticated version of the alarm was standard equipment on early Fieldmasters and Trialmasters.
Both versions are installed at the factory during assembly.
Is your dealer in Holland installing a different alarm?
