Updated my old Tritov V6 ute to a new D-Maz 1.9T ute. I am getting 13.5km/L or 7.3L/100km. Amazing saving each week on FUEL! Sick of waiting for the GREN!

2018 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2.8 Diesel... 476,000 (trouble free KM in Spain). Very hard to leave the brand when it has been faultless. I guess the fact that they rarely make changes to the engines/models leads to amazing reliability.

According to data from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), approximately one out of every 100 Land Rovers in circulation was reported stolen between April 2022 and March 2023. These statistics reveal that Land Rovers are three times more likely to be stolen compared to the second most popular target for thieves, which is the Mercedes-Benz.

Not an ideal first place

I'm afraid that the grenadier may replace the land rover as thieves vehicle of choice. Unless all the dings and bongs put them off.

Many Land Rover Defenders still have no extra security fitted, with owners either having no fitted security at all, or relying on the factory alarm and immobiliser.

A bit of extra security such as a good pedal lock and aftermarket immobiliser makes the vehicle much less likely to get stolen.

Likewise few owners secure their Discovery's against theft, a simple OBD port modification and turning off "keyless entry" will stop the majority of thefts of this vehicle
