Honestly the Bridgestones are fine on the 17 inch rims, plenty of depth, less road noise. But if you want the chunky look and you need maximum grip go for BFG. You're not going to be skidding anywhere in this thing.

Anyone know what "load rating " the K02s being delivered are? LT265/70R17 121/118S but doesn't say if it is LT265/70R17/E 121/118S or a different rating..
These are the details with tyre spelt correctly and for the US market tire spelt as if running out of energy

The Bridgstones are useless for it's main purpose.
Serious appeal at the coffee shop down at the mall.
BFG's for me.

I think there will be more specced for the purpose of looking good outside the coffee shop than there will be for their off road prowess.

I am not knocking that as 50% of my decision was done for the looks.

That’s a 3” difference. Think there’s enough room without any compromises? (IE tire rub, articulation detriments, etc)
This is from FB. Stock everything with 285/70/17. No rubbing. Bolt pattern is 6 x 130 same as a MB sprinter. I found 1.5” wheel spacers to add as well.

I'm British living in US and get tired of how they spell tyre :) Two countries separated by a common language :)
I watch countless American shooting videos where they shoot at 2 liter soda jugs, which of course are 2 litre soft drink bottles in Australia.
I have never understood why they even have a 2 litre/liter quantity when everything else is imperial so it would be 0.5288 US Gallons or 0.43998 Imperial gallons.

The A/T 001 tweaked for the Gren per this vid @3:40

Says suitable for most buyers - that would include me.

seems like the stone tire in the pic next to the bfg isn't the one we're getting. am I wrong in saying this?

in the vid they say it's a new recipe made exclusively for the grenny. the tread pattern looks different as well. among other things, at least they'll be a newer tire. so you won't get stuck with a tire sitting that long that could lead to an even shorter life.

Makes my interest in entomology videos seem pretty tame 😁

FWIW : Actually it's only a 1"difference...31.6" vs 32.7" (https://tiresize.com/comparison/) so that at 70mph on 265/70/17 tyres, the 285 size speed is actually 72.4mph.

I had Bridgestone "Dueler" tyres on standard 16"rims on a RRP38 for several years and they lasted 60,000km. A lot of that (approx 50%) was on gravel roads including a trip to Cape York. However, they were a Light Truck (LT) version... different markets?
The LT descriptor is missing from the "Dueler" illustrated in @DaveB 's post above, whereas the BFG is nominated as a LT version which should be less prone to punctures off the beaten track 🤞

Looks like it is E rated, LT265/70R17 121/118S E BFG KO2. Not sure about the Bridgestone. Both are Three peak rated it appears. The one thing I didn't like about my BFG KO2s (2012 Armada) was their ability to hold gravel in the treads till you hit the interstate. I felt horrible for anyone behind me. I would like to get the Rough Pack with the Bridgestones and then trade them out immediately for Duratracs.

As others have mentioned, that is what I’m thinking. I’m also holding off on the rock rail for something besides the two factory options.

Is there such a thing as Selling used tires- as in with mabye 5k miles on them, versus just off a truck? The good and bad about he DEulers is that they can last forever.

I don‘t know what the logistics are, but IG should have really offered a 285 KO2 option. I know it is mainly aesthetics. the Duelers, in pictures on the website, almost look ‘more correct’ in the only Land Rover skinny tire look.

Yes, I also prefer the 285s. Reckon I’ll shift to those first change.

Not if you select the standard BFG K02
Yes that’s my point. The KO2s will be everywhere, the custom Bridgstones not so much
