I assume a Merlin Rocket's double meaning is not school appropriate, so I won't check its meaning from work! However, I thought it was bad luck to change the name of a boat once she's been christened.

You're on the right track sir. It tis thought to be bad luck to change a boat's name - however, if you knew my mate's wife it would be even more bad luck if he had not done so!!

For folks who have (or have seen) M&M canvas seat covers: would you prefer these with cloth seats over optioning leather seats?

No point in paying for leather seats if they're going to be covered with canvas... right?

Leather for me.
And canvas covers when getting it dirty / dusty / sandy / etc.

Canvas over cloth is my preference, anticipating arid/tropical use.

Really helpful threat and I’m surprised how different the IG covers are in he flesh Compared to the impressive photos online, Does anyone else have any photos of the IG or MM ones for the grenadier?

I have used rear seat covers like these for at least two (often wet and muddy) flatcoat retriever hunting companions. The covers are basically a large rectangle of waterproof fabric with nylon straps that loop over the front and rear headrests. Do a web search for "dog sling car seat cover"or similar. I like the ones that do not have a cut out between the front seats since it keeps the wet dog from visiting you up front.
They are quick to remove when you want to load humans instead of dogs, and easy to hose off. Pro tip: Just be sure to chose one made of a fabric that is not super slick (dog slides from one side to the other when you take a corner) Cost between US$50 and $100.

Use a similar setup for our dynamic duo. The one we have even has zip up sides that help protect the door panel/cards and when folded down, protects the door sills.

To true….no dogs sitting on seats in my vehicles. On the odd occasion they have needed to be in the cabin with me they go in the footwell, other than that, dog crate in the back.

Despite being two working breeds (lab and terrier) our dogs do zero work. They enjoy riding in style.

Glad I cancelled them. I will admit that they are brand new and will probably settle down, but still. I have some in the Amarok that were £90 ish, they are made to measure and look a 1000% better than those things.

I make no secret of the fact I like the MM ones and will stress that I am nothing to do with them, but every time I have seen them in person they look awesome.
