I think you'd be surprised whats made in China, or maybe not. Either way, no global manufacturer can do without them, like it or not. 🙂 You are in turn supporting the honest Chinese people, which are just like you and me.
Agree to disagree, having worked in the region since 1997 and just retired. Best I leave it at that.

HUD has already been discussed in other parts of the forum. Hudway should fit above the center display and should provide all of the info needed without having to glance sideways.

I once drove a BMW with HUD in New Zealand. It was "fun" for about 3 minutes, thereafter an awful distraction and I was grateful there was an off button.
I'm looking forward to having a clear view in front of me. No distractions.
Isn't it wonderful how different we all are? 😊

No Doubt Tazzieman. Hudway does allow you to configure widgets so only information you want appears on the display.

Will buy either a Road Angel speed readout or one of the HUD displays available:
neat bit of kit I hadn’t heard of it before, but the WAZE app that works with Carplay does all of the other stuff that does. So I wouldn’t pay the premium for that and will just buy a much cheaper speed only HUD if I find the speedo bothers me

My wife and I use waze to the point that I really don't use my dash speedometer all that often. So, since I already use my center screen in the car, I must say that the Grenadier having a center screen won't really be as big a deal as those who haven't been using their waze, Google maps or Apple whatever think. A quick glance down vs. a quick glance 45 degrees down right out left is not a big thing to get used to.

My 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe has a large centre screen using (?TomTom) navigation. The posted speed limit is prominently superimposed on a section of the map on the lhs of the screen. Once moving another icon appears above the speed limit showing the GPS speed. This becomes a major distraction to good order and discipline when ferrying grand kids who are quick to point out the most minor of transgressions! No use complaining to their parents... they are similarly chastised on occasion!!😂

I may highly recommend this make of speedos.

We use them on our Diesel motorbikes. And the good thing is, that they make an individual scale for you if you want, e.g. from 0-160 Kmh instead of 0-220 Kmh. They are very customer oriented, and the quality is high. This things even stand any weather and the vibrations of our Diesels.

They are available in diameters of 48 mm, 60 mm and 80 mm. I think it looks quite cool, and as a central round instrument in front of you it is not distracting. No mechanic coupling, uses signal from vehicle (they help with that and have even programmed the versions for our motorbikes to 'understand' their signals).

Other versions than this one are available, with LCD odometer, daily km, average speed etc ...

And a black housing is not a big deal - or maybe even possible by MMB.

You're right. I didn't think of that. But it's worth a question at MMB. They are really good at customer demands.

How do I not know about these? They look great! Are you involved with this company?
I am a customer and own such a motorbike. The community is closely connected with Jochen, the maker of these motorcycles. He is an engineer and an excellent mechanic and had earned his first merits at Egli in Switzerland. He is located in Bavaria close to "Weißenburg".

We call him 'The Doc' or 'Jogi'. :)
