I'm curious about that too. Seems to the Gren is more of a "yesterday's car" when it comes to fuel consumption than what legislators/regulators would be aiming for.I should clarify ... Not specifically emissions, but the rating requirements of mpg. I'm still researching it, but I don't know how they can meet current fleet requirements much less than the new mandates unless they electrify (yuck) or the hydrogen comes to fruition.
I think USA market is a calculated risk (as they all are to some degree). Have no idea if they always fully intended to sell there or not. But I don't think the reception they have received has hurt the project. Imagine if they did the tour and had only 2-300 reservations result. That might have hurt the whole project. As it is I believe they've gained useful feedback, market info and publicity on the vehicle. So, you really think Ineos won't be able to import vehicles to the US? That would be nuts after all the work they've done in the NA market.
Sorry. Didn't watch the vid, so guess shouldn't be here.Unfortunately, there are too many off-topic discussions currently unfolding in this forum making searching and looking under a topic/headline seriously difficult. Capital projects (in oil & gas/downstream, Ineos’ core industry) normally have a specialist team from initiation through to first production.I watched this video several times and had to parse it a bit. “Batch and hold” is their business term for what sounds like “inconsistent quality control checks”. That is not to say “quality problems”. It seems they’ve run into a problem/bottleneck with final quality assurance. There’s a lot riding on that and she expresses that very well. That HAD to be a stressful time to take over as CEO. Yes, this message should have come sooner and been more in depth; however, I am going to allow it (lol). Let them make sure their Quality Assurance folks have their heads around it fully.
Message to Ms Calder if you’re reading “here’s your chance to follow through on your promised communication. Daily if you have to, but do not go another week without follow up. The customers you need are not the mouth breathing Tik Tokers that your predecessor seemed to be counting on. Use your words and trust us to pay attention”
Thanks @DenisM, noting I‘m just another speculator… let’s see what the press has to say about the vehicle.Well said! An excellent summary of "the state of play".
Works on my Mini and many othersDon’t you find that a ludicrous solution? The headlight turns off to use the signal? Lol. That’s a dumb design for a truck that’s supposed to be clear and purposeful in its ethos.
Nope !It seems that Phase 1 countries are the only ones receiving the communications. Did anyone in the US receive an email? I can somewhat understand why, but it would be nice if all reservation holders were kept in the loop.
