Possibly that is also what that dealer is doing above.
Not selling the actual vehicle on display just using it as an example
What’s interesting is a dealer has a floor plan…and I thought we had agents who make a fee from Ineos for the pre delivery, bolting on the extras and whatever else before handing us the keys…I was under the impression they didn’t sell the car…I must be confused

They act as an agent on behalf of Ineos and just clip the ticket on they way through. They own no stock, not even their display, they just get paid a fee for every sale they facilitate. They can still use their own funds to promote that they are an agent of Ineos (within certain parameters) and use their own funds to provide the biggest and swankiest dealership.

My local dealer is advertising the vehicle but also pushing the accessories in a soft way

So agreed, no dealers but who is advertising 24 grenadiers on carsales?...interesting...I find it hard to think it would be Ineos but maybe.

When the car arrives in OZ and they have to install bits as you say, we have already paid, so the agent must know what they will receive per bit and I would suggest a set price per item.

Probably Car Sales themselves trying to capture search engine traffic, its all about the clicks.

Bonjour,
Je viens d'appeler le concessionnaire.
En fait, le véhicule appartient à INEOS et n'est pas en vente. Il est mis à disposition pour démonstration et essais.
Pour commander un véhicule, il faut passer par le processus de commande INEOS.
Le concessionnaire m'a indiqué que pour INEOS, les ventes étaient compliquées en France en raison de la réglementation qui peut être différente d'un département à l'autre en particulier pour le montant des taxes.

Je vais donc attendre mon contrat.

True. But you’d think a cut of that has been directed towards the dealer. At the very least they’ll somehow need to pay the mechanics installing everything.

One thing to remember, the French and Aus trucks you note have everything built into the price. The taxes and fees seem to be much higher overseas.

Krabby is right! In Belgium their is a 21% VAT (Value Added Tax). That's included in the price that I got from Ineos. This is almost the same in France: 20% VAT.

The taxes that are not included are the yearly "on the road tax", or how is this called in other countries, and the "one time" "registration tax".

On my paperwork there is an
Agent delivery/handling fee of $888.14
Delivery fee of $995.46
Pre-delivery inspection fee of $350
Then they also make a margin on all of the accessories that are marked with an *
