I am sure I saw a picture of a uk 3 pronged socket in the cab does anyone have any info on this?

I can't speak to a three pronged UK plug, but virtually every work truck sold in North America comes with a built-in inverter with a household appliance socket in the cab area. It's an option that even the most basic WTs tend to be spec'd with. I'd be surprised if the Gren doesn't have them.

In the configurator, one of the options is "auxiliary power ports" - perhaps this is part of that. It is "ports" plural, so I suspect a mix of USB plugs as well as perhaps an inverter. Speculation on my part though!

They describe it as USB ports and a 12 V Port in the back

There are currently slightly different specifications and options depending on destination country so no doubt they will have the same for North American markets. Some of these changes are done but not openly communicated. For Australia the MD mentioned in an interview that the diesel will have an extra filter and a water catch can as standard and of course the Roo bar (we actually call them bull bars not roo bars) is available but not in many other markets.

The High Load Electrical Switch Panel & Electrical Preparation amount in AUD is $1800.
Now if this is just for a panel/switches, a few connection points on the roof, winch pre-wiring, sockets on the roof, cabling/plug to the back - then I think this is too much to ask. There has to be something else of value in this option to charge such a high amount. A decent Inverter may well be the item that makes this option worth the $1800.

The Auxiliary Battery is only being charged at $1060 AUD and this includes wiring, battery and charger, so to me I can see the value in this option (if you wanted it).

Don't forget the wiring loom, fuses, relays power cables and installation. If you got an auto electrician to put all that in later I am pretty sure they would charge over $2,000

Yep I agree with that Dave, an Auto Electrician would charge that amount, but an Auto Electrician isn't putting that into the car as an afterthought.
To me, for what we know is included in the option, compared with the obvious value pricing for the Aux Battery, I reckon we are still a $300-$400 off - hence why an Inverter would make sense.
But with the price of copper wiring at the moment, may also make this option $400 more expensive than it seems.

You're probably referring to these -

The power take-off, 2000W with domestic plug sockets, accessory (inverter) is still under development and will not be ready for early production models - according to a reply I received from Ineos yesterday.

The red fieldmaster display vehicle at Hounslow Hall had USB and ...USBc? sockets behind the centre console. I didnt see a UK 240v socket anywhere.

as far as the wiring package is concerned, it is pricey, but a very useful addition. especially wit the 500amp winch switch. I love the ability to mount an amber beacon on the roof and plug it directly into the sockets up there, then switch it on and off with the roof console toggle switches

The diff locks as they use different axles to standard and the wiring loom as he thinks it would be extremely hard to add the wiring later and get all the lining etc back in the right place. I have taken his advise and ordered all 3

But he also said in his opinion the Petrol was the one to order - thats a piece of his advice I won't be following.

Totally agree- diesel for me. I can't even imagine someone trying to retrofit the safari windows.

The German driver told me the same (including the petrol engine) It sounded logical to me so I ordered it aswell (bedides the petrol engine)

If you do a search on "inverter", there are several threads and answers both ways, in terms of it's availability...

It's certainly been there in show vehicles (at least in the form of a dummy socket):

I guess we just have to sit this one out. Maybe the accessories brochure will provide more details.

Inverters are cheap and easy to install, though it depends upon your configuration/usage. We're going to be touring.
The auxiliary wiring package is IMO very good value.
