Wish the truck just came with a mechanical clock at this point along with all the other stuff that wasn't supposed to be bogged down by tech. 
It's been set to Automatic since day one. You have to go in and turn Daylight savings on or off to correct the time. And it won't update the time as you cross time zones. It's connected to GPS, it should be able to sort this stuff out.
100%My toaster can figure out Day Light Savings but my $90k Grenadier can't.

You should buy a BMW mine works just fine changing for DST and just in general time zones from state to state. lol
UTC (Coordinated Universal Time ) when I began flying for a living it was always known as GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). Being British and knowing where the meridian is, I still refer to it as GMT, however as we know other bodies formed the Coordinated time in 1960, lead by the US Navy. Probably, to ensure correct and accurate time formats for launching weapons. Then of course the French got involved, before it was known as UTC.
It kinda is a biggie. Combine that with all the other damn buttons you have to press every time you get in to drive. It's so dumb. The fact that nothing is analog on these trucks, nothing.... and we don't have any functional tech to at least make up for the fact that these things are still heavily reliant on computers. If something I own and use has computers then it better come with the commiserate tech. Otherwise let's go analog. Not even the ignition switch is analog. You won't find a wire going from the ignition switch to the starter without it going through a computer. Imagine having an iPhone in your hands that regardless of what tech is inside it, you can only use it to manually dial a phone number. You don't even get a contact list. It's just so stupid and I can't believe we all lapped it up and said thanks you!
If you had bought an analog toaster this wouldn't be a current complaint for you.

GMT historically was time set relative to the average time at midday in Greenwich. UTC is time relative to midnight, and isn't an average. GMT refers to average time at Greenwich which varies through the year hence the averaging to give an approximation. UTC doesn't vary the time based on averaging but instead adds leap seconds to keep the time constant in relation to Earths rotation every so often. GMT was replaced by UTC as a modernisation, and GMT was relegated to simply referring to the UK time zone rather than being the worldwide time standard. Nothing as far as I know to do with firing weapons although no doubt it helps!
