The best way to clean windows is with damp newspaper and dry with dry newspaper.
Then car polish to repel water and dirt.
Takes 5 mins max to do the whole car.
No gadgets!

I used to use damp newspaper on my GSX-R 750's bubble screen. Left for 30mins then 'wax orf'. Worked a treat

If you've had a Series LR, the wipers were all but useless too, but something like Rain-X worked a charm. Since the windshield is so flat and vertical, the water just beaded up and visibility wasn't a problem; snow would still be an issue though.
