Has anyone had water ingress into number plate light fitting?
It was there from collection day as I noticed it a day or two after.
Only on one side, drivers side light looks fine.

Hi @Craig I've had my Grenadier since the beginning of April 2023 and I've never had this problem before. No matter what the weather, warm, cold, dry, damp. There are posts here in the forum in which this is described as normal behavior. I don't see it that way. My headlights and rearlights don't have this problem either!

Perhaps we (the forum) should publish a "Water Ingress Manual" similar to the one for the old Defenders.

This would
  • document that the Grenadier genes originate from the old Defender: Not only a "spiritual" but as well a "genetical" successor.
  • help Grenadier owners to accept that their Grenadier is not broken but just suffers from a minor flaw which many Grenadiers have
  • provide real help to fix the issue
  • push INEOS to do something about all this water ingress crap and get their production in order.

Yes, there is.

But nobody said it would work.

my two license plate lights are also full of moisture

initially it was only one but then they both filled with water

I will change them at the service

That looks like condensation rather than water entering. Does it appear after you have had your lights on for a significant period of time or is it present when not using your lights

rear number plate lights changed at the service.

new lights did the same thing after a couple of days! 🫣

Is there a rubber gasket around the light frame? Perhaps add a light coat of grease/ vaseline to the gasket to help it seal better.

Vaseline did its job perfect on 7" VW Golf/Rabbit 2 headlights for about 7 years.
