Someone posed the question of wiring the stock Aux High Beams directly, vs other lights. I tried this, having Red Noland wire them to Aux5 and was not satisfied with the stock aux lights. They were disappointingly dim, or very spot focused at a large distance. So I had some work done at JCs British and had them install the Baja lights. I would say the Baja lights are at least 5x as bright, and really what I wanted for the empty Nevada dirt roads. I would not advocate the effort to wire the stock lights direct.

Replacing the stock off-road lights with the Baja lights is a massive upgrade.
I wish there was a way to reuse the switch, I put it on one of the ext switches that terminates under the hood.

I tried to wire in a relay to the headlight so that the switch energizes the power to the relay that the Baja lights are fed from but the main full beam activates the relay coil but I got error messages in my display when doing that (anyone knows a good way to do that)?
