The Irish look strong.

The English look weak unfortunately.

I'm of to see the Argie and also the jock game against Saffas who cld do it as well.

Could well be a neutral supporter early on this cup!!

Yep, it’s Ireland’s to win or throw away this year. Or the Saffa’s could pinch it.
Sadly our turn is more likely to be ‘27.

Game of the tournament will be played before the final - SA v Ireland 24th September

Be good to see a 5th nation win Bill this year - that’ll be good for the game..

Hard to look past SA this year, look what happened when they met the All Blacks. They are a better team than when Ireland last met them.
Much as I want Ireland to win, there is SA, France and the Blacks are always an obstacle.
As Individuals, England can’t be ruled out, unfortunately that’s also the way they are playing atm.

Radio5 was talking Ireland down this morning.

I'm going to be supporting Japan. If they can pick up where Japan's woman's football team left off in their world cup, then it will be a good ride.

Agree with your comment but I have a strange feeling that Eddie Jones will surprise us all. I always liked his battling attitude and he took Japan forward by years.. As much as it hurts to say it, the Aussies are awesome sportsmen and we brits have more in common with them than almost any other nation.

I think this is going to be the closest World Cup we have ever seen. My moneys still on SA.

Great run out from France but a dead rubber. Must win games start tomorrow. Could be the best World Cup yet…

Wow, game one over and hasn’t the world changed from just a few years ago.

Le Bleu have perhaps been driving Grenadiers.

Glad les blues won last night, host nation needs to get the atmosphere going.

Have a game of touch on the beach shortly - sounds more appealing than the reality!!!

somethng else to be hopful about I guess. as is sometimes the case with The All Blacks and France we didnt seem to know what to do when things startd to go wrong. Agree that its good for the tournament when the hosts do well

Onya Ireland.
That was always going to be the match of the tournament.

Up again at 5am tomorrow morning, although I’m pretty sure I’d be better off staying in bed.

That was poor from Australia, their players are better than that.
Seems to be a lack of confidence and basic errors. A bit like recent England performance. A common denominator or an easy target ?

Wales bought their A game.. Sadly Australia didn’t really show up. As an englishman, I was torn between supporting one of the home nations or australia .. The former are always tough opponents for us and the latter are awesome sports and great company. I had the joy of being in Japan in 2019 with a load of Aussies in a Tokyo bar watching Scotland v Japan and had one of my best ever nights out..

been some great rugby so far..

Well that was more like it. I was out and at one stage saw the score NZ 73-10 Italy but the final score was NZ 96-17 Italy. If we can bring our A game more often ........
