Remote Key Code

On the PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection) document of the Grenadier a "Remote Key Code should be delivered to the Customer. I didn't get it and mentioned it at once to the dealer, whom didn't know what it is.

After several attempts to get it, even though I didn't know what it is, I did send a message to customer support, with the following question:

On the PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection) form the following was mentioned:

• Enclosing documents: “remote key code” (see attached image)

Could you please tell me

• what this is and
• how I can get it?

After two detours, I got the next answer:

Hello,
Every key fob are provided with a label with a code written on it.
Please ignore this step on the PDI check-list

Therefore my interpretation:
This is the code you need to ask for a new key if you ever lose it.

I am sure your agent has many good qualities, but sticking key codes in Owners Manuals may not be one of them.

Actually I think if we’d have had Jean’s agent we may have committed criminal offenses at this point. If I was Jean I’d be traveling elsewhere as their behavior has been very very second rate.

Can someone who got his/her keycode tell me what the format of the code is, for instance 8 numbers, or 6 alphanumeric?

I had a small label attached to my keys when I collected the car.

There is an eight numeric character code below the picture of the key (I've obscured mine!)

I assume this is the key code

Did you get the same label?
