Is the rear skid plate used to help the rear differential over obstacles? Just trying to visualize the purpose. If it wraps underneath it would seem it is a scoop vs a skid.

I appreciate any insight. And I’m sure I’m missing the purpose.

I would imagine it's most functional as you depart an obstacle. It didn't look like it would offer too much rear diff protection on the prototypes unless you were backing up into a stump or rock.

Plenty of discussion about its potential and unintentional scoop action. Doesn’t extend to diff, probably provides some protection to exhausts components and rear on departure angles
