I have discovered a new oddity.
When the car is locked, I can open the rear door. But only a small gap, it doesn't open completely.
Is this a bug or a feature? Maybe a slot for love letters?

Can someone please test it on their car.
  1. Close rear door.
  2. Lock the car.
  3. Try to open the rear door.

Thanks,

Just checked, mine stays solidly locked, you have an issue.

Hi,

I discovered the same, some days ago. Even if the car is locked I can push the button for the rear door handle and it sounds like something mechanic "works", but the door dosen't open completely...

One possibility is that the rear door is not yet fully latched when locked and the locking applies only for the second phase (wind lock).
Possibly an adjustment problem. Try to slam the door with some force or push slowly with force.
If that doensn't help the latch is faulty.

You were right.
When I close the rear door with force, it locks properly.
The Grenadier is like my old G Wagon, every door has to be closed with force.

That's the same with mine, if you only shut it then lock it you can slightly open the door. If you slam it, then lock it it's fine. I am sure it will wear in after 10 or 15 years of use. 🤣
