Order Delayed

Don’t put too much faith in the portal. Still says many of us are still in production despite having already taken delivery.

It cracks me up. It would be so easy to have the portal update, just push a button. Yet only one auto maker has succeeded and many have tried. Mine shows ordered, but the dealer called me in April to say it was in production. Who knows.

Just saw online that my order got delayed until Q1 2025 which is a bummer. Guess we will see when It really gets built. I’ll keep telling myself that it will give them more time to fix the current batch of issues.
You can also look at other dealer inventories to check if they have a similar build that you have in mind. ;)

You can have mine! Just arrived today but letting it go. Oddly Ineos said it wouldn't arrive until later this year. So who knows. Atlanta dealer has a bunch of them for sale. Wish I could see around the problems, but know myself enough that they'd make me miserable. Good luck!

Hi Joefly78, I am sure you put a lot of thought into passing on the Grenadier for now. Keep in mind that most forums tend to post issues vs non-issues as that is what they are for, to discover items and how to get them resolved. It's kind of like Consumer reports. They rank Jeeps and Land Rovers at the bottom, however i have owned 3 Grand Cherokees and 4 Land Rovers and had almost zero issues and enjoyed everyone of them.
Because of my experiences, I don't pay attention to a single thing Consumer Reports says.
Hopefully you can check back in a year or too and consider a Grenadier then. DaBull

Thanks DaBull, for sure. I'm waiting and watching and hopefully will put an order in for a future model year. And you're right, my 3 rovers were tight as drums. I suspect a lot of their problems come from poor maintenance by owners, as they are just complex vehicles. Here, we have something brave and new and built for enthusiasts. And enthusiasts read forums, for better or worse, I guess. It's hard for me to separate my concerns and perceptions from what's posted here. Especially since there's not much in the way of other sources of information.

Just get one off the inventory of cancelled orders, thats what I did here in the UK. I ended up getting it much sooner than I otherwise would have. INEOS were ok with transferring the deposit over..

Auto forums are the very definition of “self selection bias”.
