New Robert Pepper video With Ineos technical Director

I wish. It rained all day today and so very little work got done.
Builders went fishing.
Apparently you can fish in the rain but not build a shed in the rain.
must be able to DaveB as we'd have no sheds over here if that was the case

I have now watched Part 1 & Part 2.
Regardless of if you like or dislike what was said I think you must agree that he was honest.
I wonder how many companies marketing departments would allow engineering to speak to a reporter???
Once again I also note the difference between a technical reporter and a YouTube influencer.

Pepper seems obsessed about the weight carrying capacity versus a Ranger sized pickup.
If you have ever loaded one of those near it's stated maximum you have less than 5mm of suspension travel. Fine on the roads, not fine for anything else.

All these smart engineers and decades or vehicle design experience - still put a RHF footrest in my car about the same size as a 2L milk bottle...

They thought you had one leg shorter than the other

He owns a Ranger so that could be the reason.
Makes sense.

You have the feeling that Pepper would prefer a plastic panelled 2 litre hybrid with independent suspension all around, so I guess he owns some sort of Discovery as well as Ranger.

I joined his YouTube channel to watch Part 2, as it's member's only access. I discovered some other interviews with (I assume) Justin Hocevar (sp?), Watching Pt.2 now. Anxiously awaiting 3 & 4. Very interesting info, and worth the $3 to join.

Yes, but he explained why and you could see by the look on his face he wasn't happy about it.
After 17K kms it is by far the worst flaw in the vehicle. I wonder if they will fix this in version 2 releases...
