I've never been overly concerned about recalls other than if there were too many and what the recalls were for...I refer to my mistaken purchase of a 2013 Ford Escape...Numerous recalls (17) and very serious to boot.

These 2 recalls for Ineos is not a current concern for me at the moment due to the limited # of vehicles it affects.

This recall doesn't worry me a bit. Take the truck in, get it fixed, drive away. Its only a nuisance for those folk who live far from a service center. Every manufacturer has recalls.

Agree @stickshifter . I wonder if it is a safety issue driving to the dealer (long or short drive)?
I found this on the NHTSA website for VIN's: Begin : SC6GM1CA0RF010858 End : SC6GN3CAXPFP10148
Production Dates : MAY 17, 2023 - DEC 04, 2023

Ahhh, yes - this is a good question. Best bet would be to inspect the bolts for the steering rod, then retorque them before making the drive. But Ineos should be providing direction. A flatbed should be provided if necessary - it’s $$ but only 60 cars, so Ineos should be okay with that.

I'm confused how to read this: "VIN Range 1 : Begin : SC6GM1CA0RF010858 End : SC6GN3CAXPFP10148" for example, our VIN is SC6GM1CAXRFxxxxxx

How do you find out if your car has this issue or not? Searching on the NHTSA using VIN shows two recalls, not sure if it is for my car or the grenadier in general.

I end in 10257 and the recall website doesn’t recognize my VIN. I’m not sure if this is because it’s still at the port or not.

If it applied to you, you would have been contacted by now.

As for the steering recall.... 5 vehicles made it to customers, so everyone else has nothing to worry about

That’s a lot a faith!

Legally those 5 customers were notified by 1/26/24, so not really faith, just following what the article says

Here is an article about a new recall on the steering rod ball joint...Affects 61 vehicles and as of Dec 7th they modified the procedure on the assembly line.

My Grenadier was undrivable after power steering failure and brake function malfunction and the AA collected and took it back to Ineos.
This is in th UK so not sure if this would apply in other countries or over long distance.
