New recall from NHTSA/Ineos

It seems that the recalls affects trucks with the auxiliary switch package. 700+ vehicles in the US sounds like all vehicles with the auxiliary switch package. Yet another package that is going to delay my delivery. I have this package along with the towing package 😂.

@AngusMacG Thanks for getting this shared quickly.

I suspect this is one of the issues we heard were being inspected at the port? I suspect there is a preventative measure owners can take until the recall inspection.

They were already looking at it at port

I could not find the recall details, but does this mean that it is time to park outside the garage and away from combustibles?

I wonder how long it takes for this info to trickle down to the dealers? My dealer wanted me to take mine this week, but without the accessories (that are still in transit). Last Friday the dealer sent an email starting and explaining the process, then magically went silent the last couple of days. They know that I'm 3+ hours away. Just curious if this is why.

The numbers seem strange to me:

he NHTSA says it’s just one percent of the total number of Grenadiers, or 706
If 706 is one percent, than 100 percent are 70600.

I didn't know that Hambach has now produced over 70'000 Grenadiers ... 🤔

It is the probably of 1% of thee 706 with aux battery, ie the defect is likely in 7 vehicles

That was not clear to me. 🤷‍♂️

The dealers have known about this for 3+ weeks, the checks started just after deliveries started and only a handful (or few handfuls) were delivered before it was found.

From what I've heard, any that were delivered unchecked had been checked as of 2.5wks ago
