NEED SOME HELP

So dealer forgot something after spring change. This is the rear. Both sides. Been hearing an occasional clank. Took a look and Fuq me. They forgot to reconnect what I believe is the sway bar. Am I damaging further by driving? No off-road planned.

I would not drive it and let the dealer tow it back. I had a shop forget to torque the nuts on my rear upper control arms and tons of damage was done by driving it. This is a different part but I’d have them tow it to fix their mistake. Even if you drove it to them, they’d be responsible for any damage.

They had to replace upper and lower control arms in the rear, lots of hardware, had to send the drive shaft to a special shop, a shock was bent (that they just installed 2 weeks earlier), some bushings, had to repair some brackets where the arms had rubbed, had to replace some sensors that were on back order cause it was a new 2023….. AND I didn’t have it for about 4-5 weeks. Total cluster.

A lot of the damage came from when the rear axle mayst have been tilting up and down due to the control arms not doing their job to keep the axle at the right angle.

I would photograph and document it, report it to your dealer and then get a couple of nuts from your local auto parts / hardware store and fix it yourself. It's such a basic fix I would just do it myself and get on with life, then get the dealer to check it on your next visit. Here is what my link looks like:

I would photograph and document it, report it to your dealer and then get a couple of nuts from your local auto parts / hardware store and fix it yourself. It's such a basic fix I would just do it myself and get on with life, then get the dealer to check it on your next visit. Here is what my link looks like:

So it looks easy enough but it seems to be under a good deal of tension. I imagine I'll need a lift. I'm not very mechanically inclined.

I reckon a pair of sturdy gloves, the jack and some lumber offcuts is all you will need.

Otherwise I would practice your recital of the back story of Ineos and the Grenadier, buy a case of beer or a box of donuts, and head down to your local independent auto or tyre shop (or even to that kid who is doing an engine swap on a mid 90s BMW or rice-rocket on his front lawn).

Such a simple thing (nut) to forget after a much more technical job ... but so critical to completing the job properly!!
When you say dealer - Grenadier dealer??
Agree perhaps simple to fix at home and be done - but agree with others as is still under warranty and dealer needs to see and fix. May prevent another "oops" down the line for you and someone else.

So the update. The Gren dealer was very apologetic and ready to do whatever it took to make it right. Same dealer sells Ferrari, Mazerati as well and wants to maintin reputation. Sent me original nuts and paid me for the tools I had to buy to set up proper torque 81. ftlbs. All good easy fix even for a desk jockey like me. All good!! Appreciate the responses.
