My Grenadier is coming up on a few thousand miles..

I am 7 hours from the dealer.

I already bought a scanner for the “ Overfill” CEL.

Does anyone have a part number/ description for the oil filter? I have not looked in the OM.

Thanks..

If not doing yourself, find a 4x4 independent shop with experience in BMW engines. I'm 3.5 hrs from the dealer ... 1 hr from my independent / non-warranty stuff mechanic. Love it!

In addition to Stu's list, the filter I picked up from the local Ineos dealer earlier this week (for the diesel version.. same part number) is listed as GRA-1000-012600. (made in Tunisia)I don't know if this part number is local designation. The Ineos label is glued over the top of a "BMW GROUP" label.
After some encouragement using steam from a boiling kettle to remove the covering label... the BMW number 1142 7 826 799

EDIT
from memory you require a 32mm socket to loosen the filter. Tightening torque for filter cap and sump plug are both 25Nm....
