Americas Locking doors whilst running?

Can someone tell me if I can lock the doors from the outside with the remote and leave the car warming up?

Not from the remote while it is running. You could most likely use a second key to physically lock the door with the key.

I'm sure a remote starter will be developed at some point in the future

Didn’t someone just pull the key out of the slot the other day while the car was still running? If so you could just leave it in Park, manually lock the doors and walk away??

The key may NOT come out of the lock while engine is running, Imagine this happening while driving: car goes on but steering lock engages at some point. This is sometimes checked in Finnish MOT / ITV.

Yes this makes sense, just reporting what someone else posted (may have been FB)

The fob most likely wont, but the key itself would.
