Just watched the new Prado (250) go for a BASIC test run - I had to laugh when it needed diff locked to get over a hump... slower than previous gen even with 48V fake hybrid... a GXL is $90K+++.

Not IG related really, so wondered about posting, but I’m guessing Justin H from IG Australia wishes he had this sort of problem.

I wonder whether using this type of system would have eliminated some of the angst around when IG’s would arrive etc.

Ronny D has a altitude version so we get see his reaction on needing to use the Diff to get over a hump.

People lining up for an outdated / antiquated engine that is slower than its predecessor. 99% of these Prado variants will never see an inch of sand, mud or water deeper than the tire tread!

Ben Hardy has one ( and a Grenadier) . He put slightly larger tires on the LC and it wont even move with out revving to 3,000 RPMs. Not good at all. Also the IFS seems to not handle the larger tire. Curious about the gear ratios, seems like a huge problem. I was like, we put 35s on our Grenadier the next day and hardly noticed a performance difference. Dont think Land Cruisers are going to see big tires with out crazy amounts of work. Seems like a very poser vehicle.
